How bad was that year in wwe? This is all the crap that went on that year...
Exploiting Eddy Guerrero's death Rey Mysterio getting the world title and being booked poorly Vince McMahon mocking God John Cena cutting crappy promos and making him the polarizing figure he is today New ECW Watered down DX Diva Search winner Layla(or diver as she called herself lol)

What about him? I guess you think because he had good matches that year it was an awesome year. Look at all the crap that happened in my original post. Everyone back then was complaining about that stuff and how wwe was going downhill. People from this board actually!

I really liked the main event scene on Raw in 2006 during the Summer. Edge was fantastic as always. I unlike many loved the DX 2006/2007 run. I was always huge fan of the pairing of Rated RKO. Edge/Cena's feud was great. I found John Cena enjoyable (I only found him irritating in 2009/2010 character wise)
Now when it comes to SmackDown. Yeaahh not a fan of SmackDown in 2006 what so ever. Although I was happy to see Booker T get run with the belt. Rey Mysterio's World Title reign was booked horrific. And I love Rey don't get me wrong, but I just don't see him being a top champion for well a long time.
A lot of bad outweighs good in 2006. But I enjoyed Raw's main event scene through out the summer and Edge/Cena, DX/McMahons, Rey's WM 22, RVD WWE Title reign, RVD/Edge were the only angles from that year I enjoyed.

From what I remember I quite enjoyed 2006, well most of it but keep in mind I was 13 at the time. These stood out for me
- Edge cashes in
- Kurt Angle wins the World Heavyweight title
- RVD returns
- Kurt Angle vs Undertaker at No Way Out
- Saturday Nights Main Event returning
- WrestleMania 22
- DX tease
- Backlash 2006
- WWE vs ECW
- ECW One Night Stand
- CM Punk's debut
- DX reunion
- Batista returns
- King Booker wins the World Heavyweight title
- Ron Simmons randomly saying "DAMN!"
- Jeff Hardy's return
- Unforgiven 2006 (TLC and Trish's retirement)
- HBK kicks Stan at Cyber Sunday
- CM Punk's pop at Survivor Series 2006

2009 was worse because you had the crappy guest host rubbish and an even more watered down version of DX.

I didn't like the product on TV in 2006. So many guys I hated in the main event scene. I loved Smackdown Vs Raw 06 though.

I think 2006 had some good stuff. The bad outweighed the good because of the stuff I pointed out in the original post. I should take back DX though. Yeah they weren't the same DX as the late 90s, but they were over like crazy. |

I started watching wrestling in 1994 and consistently watched thru 2005. 2006 was the year that broke the bank for me and i tuned out for a few years.

Smackdown 06-07 was dreadful to watch, Batista, Finlay, Bobby Lashley, Khali, Booker T being the top guys yeah no thanks.

Yeah 06 had some bad moments but it had some pretty awesome ones too imo. It was still better than 2007, and I would take 2006 in a heartbeat over most of 2010-2013
