I don't want to start a new topic but couldn't find a place that this would belong to, but the retro WWE figures got me thinking; NECA does this really great video game line, where they repaint figures videogame colors sometimes to look cell shaded. Some of the best work was the Rambo figure and their current Alien Figures. I wonder if Mattel will ever consider doing so? Hasbro is doing something similar with their legends where they are releasing figures, which they repaint in brighter comic inspired colors on blister packs.
I think wrestlers in 8/16 bit colors would be big sellers. But those things might require plenty more paint apps, but I am wondering the feeling and if people would purchase videogame-esque repaints? I personally love bright figures with great paints from NECA.

I think that would be pretty neat. I'd absolutely take them over Zombies and Mutants.

I was thinking they could do basic 4 packs with a window flap in the shape/design of the box, like SNES Wrestlemania The Arcade Game with Bam Bam/blue 95 Bret/green Razor/red Undertaker.

Maybe as a series of regular figures in an attire they had in a video game without the 8-bit paintjob because honestly there's not a lot of WWE games to choose from in an 8-bit or 16-bit style.

They would be cool to look at but I would probably not buy any.

Neca does a great job with it & the details. Mattel wouldn't & would complain about too many paint color apps. Sorry. Neca can do a wrestling one if possible but Mattel needs to stay away. Leave it be

I'd have to see their execution of it first. Maybe do a display of it at one of the conventions rather than jumping into it.

That be sweet. I'll take some wrestlefest figures. Or a likeness to the original Nintendo wtestlemania challenge, start screen ultimate warrior.

I'm good for gimmicked figures, just make them look like who they're supposed to already!

Might look cool, but I think the retro hasbro series is their best bet for a gimmick line that will actually stick long term, none of the others have. I'd rather see some pallete-swap variants of normal elite figures so we can get some different attires in one shot. They did it with E4 Jericho and E10 Dibiase and never since that I can remember.

I don't want anything new until we get a decent elite Surfer Sting.

I'd rather have a line where they redo old figure attires (Piper with red trunks, Macho King with gold kneepads, the Galoob Surfer Stings, etc.), would look awesome having a modern figure next to an older one with the exact same attire imo.

(looks at NECA videogame Leatherface) NO Then you don't understand why it is a perfect figure based on the game I'm actually working through collecting the Neca video game series (started last week after years of debating). These are amazing figures and display pieces. Neca produces such amazing figures it really makes Mattel look poor. Would love to have Neca make a premium line of wrestling figures, would be worth every penny
