Did I miss it? There was a promo on raw the other week n Goldust said he would be at Summerslam to reveal his next project, villian, hero, partner or whatever, I didnt watch the pre-show and missed little bits of the show and skipped some of the match promo's and ads but I felt like I'd seen everything worth seeing but didnt see Goldust...

Didn't he say he was gonna scout for one there, not reveal him?

His next project is apparently he's working on becoming the mouthpiece for KFC by being the new Colonel. That's all I saw from him.

Didn't he say he was gonna scout for one there, not reveal him? Just watched the promo again (and included it up top) you're right, he says SummerSlam is the audition, WWE's got a misleading title on that video.

False advertising by the WWE. I was looking forward to Goldust appearing and seeing who he would choose.
Also 97 was my favorite Summerslam and it would've been great to see Goldust appear on the same event 20 years later.

They keep dropping the ball with Goldie. Dude should be recognized for all his great matches over the past 30 years! It's like the writing team has ADD.

It's a shame WWE doesn't give a crap about him at all. Him and R truth could have had a solid feud dragging out for a little bit but all they care about is the big name Roman

If he doesn't appear over the next few weeks or is just thrown out there to be fed to Cena or Roman, safe to say this whole revival of his character is dead in the water. The KFC thing was probably the final proof though. And it's a real shame. I was looking forward to another run for classic Goldust. Would have liked to see him bring the wig back and find a new Marlena or protégé or whatever. I wasn't excited about the R-Truth feud so I was at least glad to see that end, but not at the cost of Goldust disappearing again.....I would have really liked to see him get one final run with the IC title. With Miz doing the pampered, glitzy Hollywood star gimmick now, it could have been nice to maybe see Goldust be the contrast to that-new fake Hollwood vs. the classic golden age Hollywood stars etc....but it looks like they once again shot down another budding idea.

Goldust should just be happy he is still employed and collecting a cheque from the WWE to make money on. He is old, and the WWE only did anything with him when they had him and Cody tag up. On his own now, he isn't really a main event player.

I'm guessing WWE doesn't have time for him at the moment and also the Summerslam card was already booked to the max, there was no room for Goldust to do his segment.

As much as a I hate to say this Goldust was always a glorified Midcarder When he first arrived in WWE and was feuding with Ahmed Johnson, it really seemed like he was headed for a main event feud with Shawn Michaels. At the time, the character was SO controversial and sooooo good and part of it was because of the time he came in. I think a Goldust/HBK feud would have worked with Goldie pining for the Sexy Boy.

Is that why he got into the feud with Razor?

Is that why he got into the feud with Razor? I don't know the full story but I red that Vince wanted to put Goldust in a World title feud but Shawn hated the gimmick and didn't want to associate himself with the golden one so he was placed in the Razor feud instead. It's such a shame because Goldust and Shawn Michaels would've been an awesome feud and if Goldust pulled it off well it could've done him good in the long run. Before the Artist crap in 98 he was on fire and could've been a huge star.
