Lol. These retros would rot even worse if they had guys Valentine and Beefcake. The 10 of you that dont shut up about them would buy them and then no one else. Kids will want Seth Rollins and John Cena, not fat baby ric flair aka Greg Valentine

Dont think it be a big deal if valentine rotted, most collectors would buy doubles and triples of them.

Like wheres the people who want Rubbish Ronnie Garvin and Baldmaster Kevin Sullivan or other flabby late 80s mid card acts? Its just before my time a I was born in 89 so none of that appeals to me.

I feel ya, I just would like to get what we missed during hasbro era. If we just got the orange card series and a few of the earlier figures that got pulled from the line. I would be fine with collecting just new guys. But as a Hasbro collector ill never feel like the collection is finished with out at least big daddy cool. The only ones I see rotting are Brock, Cena and warrior. Dont think it be a big deal if valentine rotted, most collectors would buy doubles and triples of them. Fact is still, in the words of the lapsed fan, "It Use To Be Better!". I think there's a lot more people buying these that don't even watch current product than some of you guys would think. Cena is the one I see rotting on the shelves around here more than anyone else from S1.

Its the same mentality of "I miss the good ole days." When? When there was war, slavery, people used fossil fuels with disregard to depletion? What "use" to be better? Wrasslin? Because people were more ignorant and had less to watch on TV than they do now? Or because you were under 10 years old? What was better? Nostalgia goggles....

Entering dangerous territory and pre-ordering the retros now. I had such a hard time with series 1 and have yet to find any series 2.

When I grew up and was truly old enough to appreciate good rasslin, the RA era was in full swing. Yet I prefer the New Gen, AE/Monday Night Wars and Golden Eras VASTLY.

He was awful and dull even when his Hasbro figure came out, let alone almost thirty years later.

We just want a Rythem and Blues Valentine like the prototype we stared at in WWF magazine for months and never saw release. I know that figure will never happen though, best option is a good custom.

Yeah, I must say he was the biggest jobber when we played with the Hasbro line figures all those years ago and used to be one of the first to go in the rumbles... I get what others are saying though, I think they're looking for figures that were planned during the Hasbro line (R & B Valentine) but never actually got released, to go along with the Retro theme. This line is often advertised as 'Hasbro style' etc so that's why such wrestlers are being speculated about.

Eliminates the drama of trying to find them in 10 different Walmarts when they come out. I picked up 2 of each from ringside and got it over with. S2 has been a nightmare that I'd rather not relive. I still want to know if this set will now have fewer figures per series and have more frequent releases? And will they no longer be Wal-Mart exclusive from here on out? Mattel HAS to have learned from Series 2...

I'd be happy with 4 per Series if we were getting more regular releases, however, I'd prefer it to be 6 per Series like the majority of the Hasbro line. Being from the U.K. it would suit me if they were no longer Walmart exclusives but time will tell. Agreed, regarding lessons learnt but I do wonder who looks at the issues and comes to a sensible conclusion some times!

If there was to be only the 4 figures released for the third Series of Retro's and the cases remained at 8 per case, at least we'd have an even distribution of the figures everywhere! (You'd hope, anyway).

Seriously. We live in a world where we are at the mercy of pirates charging $91.00 for a Kane that they describe as "RARE".......he hasn't even been at 90% of the stores her to EARN the title of rare yet. Usually RARE happens with an item after it has come and gone from regular shelves lol. (slaps face)

I just contacted Ringside Collectibles to see if they would refund or alter my order. They added or re-added the Package Deal set of 4 which is a few dollars less than individually buying all 4. I thought it was strange that option wasn't there when I placed the order originally.
On a side note, I went way out of my way today and tried to score series 2 at a Wal-Mart which is 45 minutes away from me. It didn't go so well. They had 7 of Cena, 2 Warrior, 1 Taker, and 1 Brock. At this rate, I will have series 3 well before I see series 2.

The lack of colorful characters to the retro line has me feeling let down. I get the star power these guys have but dress up the line a little bit. Where's Ryder? New Day? Kalisto? This next line is all boring attire dudes save for AJ ( which whom they can make colorful but i have a feeling it'll be black attire). Colors appeal to kids. The colorfulness of the original line appeals to collectors. Also why are people calling this series 3 on here? That wasn't mentioned by Bill somewhere was it?
