Raw is in Chicago for Christmas. I would only go if I had no one to spend the holiday with.

Not a fan of this, it sucks for the talent. I mean the ratings will more than likely suck as not many people are going to watch a 3 hour Raw on Christmas, so why bother in making the talent come in on Christmas instead of letting them enjoy some time with their families.

I wonder if this is a request by USA to try and pop the Christmas and New Years ratings by having a live show instead of a taped one.
If that is the case this is something out of Vinnie Mac's hands.

I am sure if all of us were living in Chicago, we would totally be psyched for this Raw on Christmas.
Imagine kids opening up a Christmas gift to see they got front row seats to Raw that night?? Kind of cool if you ask me.

It doesn't matter if they are on the road 300+ days a year. Because that is the lifestyle they chose when they decided to become a WWE Superstar. That's life. My father drove a bus for NJ Transit and there were plenty of Christmas's and Thanksgivings he had to work. With Christmas he would usually take a late shift so he could be with us Christmas morning, but he still miss most of the holiday.

According to Beth Hardy it's from USA.
Seems like with these type of decisions and them wanting to keep Raw at three hours, and I am assuming they also want Smackdown to be on Tuesdays, it looks like they really want to oversaturate and keep everyone unhappy. But like others have said, just do a taped show or special.
Edit: And don't forget, it's not just the talent/superstars, there's also everyone behind the scenes and at the arenas that have to be there too. A lot of people to consider who may want to be at home with their families.

Seems like a lot of people are ruling out that they would probably fly their families out for the holidays.

In my opinion, a live show is better than those “Best of (insert year here)” shows. I usually don’t watch Raw and Smackdown till a day or 2 after they air, but I’ll make it a point to tune it live on Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Yes it does, but that is the price they paid for getting into the profession. And not just for those with small children. For many it could be the last Christmas one of their pantents/ grandparents or other loved ones will be here for. But it is what it is just like anyone else who is in a profession where they have to work on the holidays.

I just feel bad for the talent, I know I wouldn't want to have to work and travel on Christmas Day

Who would even go to a Raw event on Christmas day? Didn't think arena's opened either. I would go if it was my city/ or state...not sure who else is crazy as I am though definitely sucks for the talent though

Won't change the fact that Christmas shows will continue to suck.

How on earth are they going to get 20,000 people to attend a WWE show on Christmas Day? Absolutely ridiculous, and terrible for the talent.

That really sucks for the people who have kids. I'm sure even the people who don't have kids would prefer to be home with their families. They really should just pre-tape and be done with it.

sucks for the lower card talent but I highly doubt WWE A-list talent will be working on those days - they'll cut a promo via satellite.

Sucks for the poor saps, that work at the arena and parking and all that nonsense. Those are the people who work and work multi jobs because they have family and want to be with them on xmas.
