I've been watching Raw and Heat episodes from June 99 and they ran an angle where the Corporate Ministry kicked him out of the group to which it looked like they were going to turn him face again. He even came out to his old face theme during the Raw after KOTR to a nice reaction but in the end they kept him heel.
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed his heel run during this time but IMO it would've been cool to see him have another face run with the old theme and attire to serve hard time to the Ministry.
Around 22:18 listen to the pop when he clears the ring with D-lo and Mark Henry.

Bossman was more suited to be heel though during the attitude era. I think if he was a face, he would be too much like a cartoon character, and that was perfect for the late 80s and early 90s of the WWE. But in the year 1999, it wouldn't have flied.

I don't think the New Generation Bossman would've worked during the Attitude Era. He would've stood out too much and looked out of place so the swap gear and heel stuff was perfect for him.

He could of kept his edginess and been a badass face. Keeping his black attire look with the old theme would've worked IMO.
