Oh man...absolutely gutted...he was by far the greatest manager that wrestling has ever seen...such an incredible performer, one of a kind, most definitely.
He will truly be missed.
R.I.P Brain.

Horrible to hear these news. RIP Brain. You can now reunite with Gorilla Monsoon. The wrestling heavens gained a phenomenal commentary team Over under on how many "Will you stop" s or "You keep that up I'm gonna have you thrown outta here" s will be flung around tonight up there?

I could talk about my personal impression of him as a person, with my introduction being the Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD, but I'm not going to say any more than that brief sentence.
Regardless of how he came across to me as a person, I don't think anyone can deny that he was excellent at his job, no matter what it was. Commentator and manager, he was perfect in those two roles. As a commentator, he had some funny lines. He could be a heel commentator while still being logical, a role that very few heel commentators have balanced as well as he did. The Bobby Heenan Family is legendary, which speaks volumes about how good a manager he was. His segment of trying to sneak into RAW was genuinely funny and memorable.
His passing just feels surreal to me. He's looked wasted away and on the verge of death for the past 15 years or so. In surviving so long in that state, it seemed to me that he would continue surviving forever.
As far as I'm concerned, the world has lost another legend.

The greatest manager and one of the best announcers of all time. Growing up in the 70s and 80s there was not a better antagonist. He really carried Hogan through the late eighties. Hogan fought evil giants and behind almost all of them there was Heenan.... and he never grew stale even when they both moved to WCW and the brain would still run him down on commentary. He and monsoon were my Monday nights in the 80s and early nineties. Rest In Peace Brain and thanks for the awesome memories!

THE greatest manager of all time.....very true ,but it sells him short. He was one of the very first ALL AROUND great performers this industry ever saw. We all know his talents, and we also know its doubtful they will be replicated by another. I hope Monsoon greeted you with a bananna Bobby. .....rest in peace Brain. I know i can speak for everyone when i say you'll never be forgotten. We already miss you.

That's too bad.
Atleast he's not in pain anymore.
While I'm happy I was able to meet him at wrestlecon this year and get his autograph in my encyclopedia and ultimate superstar guide, but I wish I could've met him sooner, he could barely do his signature when I met him.
What was cool was his table was near flairs and when ric came out to start signing Bobby was already at his table and he managed to say "flair! Flair!" And ric got a huge smile on his face and went over and gave him a hug so that was cool to see.
Besides that it was kinda painful seeing Bobby there, like I said I'm happy I was able to meet him, but he's the one wrestling personality I've met I didn't want to get a picture with because it sucks seeing him like that and I don't want to remember him like that, I wanna remember the pudgy loud mouth he was when he was in wwf.
Rest In Peace brain. And thank you for all the great moments you were involved in.

I dont know if there's a heaven/hell or "another side" or what....but if there was, there's no doubt Andre, Rude, Perfect, and Studd were all right there to greet him.

One of the true greats, both as a manager and behind the announce desk. Terrible news.

The greatest manager of all time and a true legend of professional wrestling.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet The Brain earlier this year. His autographed poster hangs on my wall.
"You listen to me, you'll go to the top! You don't listen to me, you're never heard from again!"

Even though he was silenced years ago, the wrestling world just lost ones of it's voices. The way I see it, the wrestling world was better off having had Bobby Heenan in it, and it's now just a little bit emptier with him gone. At least the pain he had to go through over the past couple of decades is over.

RIP "the brain"! You made me laugh countless times. Greatest manager all time. If he could of been a wrestler, there's no question he could of been the biggest draw.
