Without a doubt the greatest manager of all time, and for my money, one of the top five personalities EVER in professional wrestling, possibly even number 1. If there is one thing Bobby always was it was 100% believable. I've always found it so tragic that he hasn't been able to really be the Brain for the past ten years, and the quality of life couldn't have really been there. I am thankful that his suffering has concluded, and I will always have a special place in my heart for Bobby the Brain Heenan. It helps to know that Gorilla and the Brain are back together and making angels laugh. Rock in Paradise.

This one really hurts. One of my all time favourites and by far the best manager and commentator ever for me. So glad I had chance to meet him at wrestlecon last year to tell him how much he meant. Devasted. RIP brain

Sad news. Was such a great commentator/ manager at the time when I watched wrestling the most.

Just wondering, was Bobby 72 or 73??
He was born Nov. 1st 1944, so adding up the years, he should be 72 years old when he passed away yesterday. Though I see some publications saying he was 73 years old...??

Heenan without a doubt the best manager of all time. Without him. There would be no great managers or commentars today. A Hard Working manager managing all greats like Andre The Giant, Ric Flair, Curt Hennig. Paul Orndorff. Rick Rude. King Kong Bundy. Big John Studd. Nick Bockwinkel and the entire list goes on and on. Including the fun stuff with Monsoon. It's What made the magic work. Thanks Bobby for making us laugh and smile. And for the record. Like Jeff Jarrett said about Owen Hart not being a nugget.on RAW is Owen. Well let me say Bobby Heenan was never a weasel!,My prayers go out to his family who loved him so much. He's no longer sick, He's in a great place surrounded by the wrestlers in Heaven. Like the song says 'we don't get to be here long'. But his spirit will live on in all of the great wrestling fans's hearts.

Bobby Heenan was a master of his craft. I see everyone commenting about his excellent managerial and commentary skills, but he was also a great hand in the ring and could take a bump for the storyline. I know the last 15 years or so had been horrible for him so I'm not overly surprised he's passed, but I am sorry to see such a talent go. Thank you Bobby Heenan for enriching my childhood memories of WWF and WCW programming!

So sad! He was a great one. It was so heartbreaking to see the way he looked and how he couldn't talk in the last several years. I was fortunate to meet him and I told him that he and Monsoon were the best. They were. Now they are reunited!
RIP Bobby Heenan!

If he hadn't gone into the wresting industry, he would have made a hell of a comedian. Put him with the likes of Don Rickles, Joey Bishop & Red Skelton.
Sleep well, Mr. Heenan.

I'll never forget calling into eYada's Wrestling Observer Radio when they had The Brain on. I couldn't pass up the chance. I intended to break up my questions as points 'A' & 'B'...
When it was my turn, I said hello, and thanked him for taking my call. I then said: "I have two questions for you: A..." That's when I froze momentarily. Just long enough for him to ask me: "Are you Canadian?" All I could hear after that was the hosts' laughter. That snapped me out of it and I got through the call. It was hard to hear over the phone, but as I listened to the replay later that evening, I felt honored to have gotten zinged by the master.
I believe the exchange was on a website of Heenan quotes, a while back.
