So disappointing, I cancelled my preorder of the 3 Gillbergs I wanted this morning. Just horrible. No way I can justify paying almost double retail for any of these they way they turned out.

I guess the only positive, which actually is a negative, is that Mattel is making the same mistakes that Hasbro did. Is making Goldberg a jumper any more ridiculous than making Warrior a jumper? But at least Warrior looked like Warrior and was big looking for a jumper. Gillberg looks more like Rocker Marty Jannetty.

TBH the line isn't capturing me in good thought. No accessories again and no connection to when I was collecting years ago as a kid. Surely throwing in a classic Savage or Flair would light up the line. Yes Goldberg is awful too but are they doing that to bury WCW as they take any opportunity to do that. But will buy but slowly thinking is it right to buy. This is my thoughts now, too. We've waited so long for a line like this I won't pass it up just yet, but so disappointed. I wonder if they'll bother with accessories or a ring etc? I know it's early days but this Series has certainly dulled my expectations more than enhanced them.

All the bland black attires, questionable bodies, and the continued lack of Diesel raise a few questions about the handling of this line...

I'll be waiting until these are at retail I think, too. If that ever happens in all areas of course. I've purchased nearly all of mine from online stores here in the U.K., so far, due to no availability in Smyths where I live or Smyths online. There is no way I'm paying £13 plus for that Goldberg though from the same online shop when they're released over here.

Macho Man, Aj Styles and Enzo rumoured to be coming in some sort of Heritage series. The same shop that previewed series 3 posted some rough looking images of those "Wrestlemania" Retro figures. They are apparently interactive. Macho Man, Sami Zayn and Enzo. I think this might have gone under the radar for some: forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/348146/wrestlemania-retro-previewDespite the nature of the images, I don't doubt these will be released soon.

Yeah, I saw these too and we need more info on these but still awaiting a reply. The images certainly do look rough! They're like a poor photoshop job that surely can't be an official release at this stage? It's like Mattel have informed stores of there possible release and someone's had a 5 minute rush on photoshop to get those pics out. What is going on with this line.

If those are real, damn, another large miss! Only one real flashback and of course they chose black attire!

The most important thing about these (possibly fake) protos is that Sami is apparently sporting the Model body. Which is huge and will help the line substantially. Why they would ever pick the bodyslam for Enzo is beyond me, but the fact that they did makes me think this might be legit.
I don't care that Savage is in his NWO gear. Frankly, I have far more interest in new guys than in redoing older guys who already have actual Hasbros. No Mattel figure is going to supplant the 80s and 90s Hasbros that already exist, so they might as make one from later.

If those are real, damn, another large miss! Only one real flashback and of course they chose black attire! And two with the same action... In a three figure set.

Here's my HONEST thought: the guys and gals that are putting in the details of these figures probably do not follow the product and at best casually did in the past. But not enough to remember a Kane belt, or a Warrior symbol on a set of trunks...I think these people are given information to go by, or a photo and are told "we'd like these six superstars in the upcoming series"....or something like that.
But it's brutally obvious folks with minds like you and me aren't running this operation.
I'm very critical of this series because I want it to do very well. I've said this before. I don't like when they obviously could've put out a superior product. There's some petition on Twitter right now to retweet for a reboot on Golberg. Prolly fruitless with October right around the corner but one click takes a split second and it never hurts. I'll look for the link...

Goldberg is another disappointing decision for @mdt - This adds to (In my opinion) some very poor line up choices that we have seen recently (e54-e60) The only thing I can think of is the arrival of Dave (I don't recall his last name) (Bill new boss) has caused some real changes. In my very humble opinion - it hasn't been for the good thus far. I base this on a rough timeline of when he started, and I assume the products they producting today are influenced by changes that have been made. I could of cause be wrong (very likely am), but 12 months ago it seemed like I was never going to keep up. Now I just pick and choose with ease and it saving me a stack of money. I order every few months from RSC, almost nothing sells out and I just get it on sale.
As I said in another tread, I simply may not be the target audience anymore (or less so then before, given u know - grown man collecting kids toys lol)

Dean & Seth are in their extremely bland 2014 "omg they just broke up the Shield we need new ring gear" for literally no reason I can think of. Why would you ever make that Seth when you have the black, white, & silver attires? And idk what's up with AJ but he's really bland too

Has Ambrose been working out with Steiner? They look okay. I don't know what Mattel Bill's problem is with Goldberg. Maybe he doesn't like other people called Bill.

Are y'all sure those aren't just customs? No customiser worth a damn would elect to make a Goldberg from a jumper figure Need a better look at AJ and Ambrose I think - they do look fine comparatively, but could be better. Rollins I like - I don't quite have the hatred for the jumpers that others seem to though I did dislike the action from playing with the original line as a kid, however I can accept it as a move for Rollins. My problem with these is the same as others have spoken about in terms of the choice of attire and details each figure has gotten, but that's a problem that's largely been there from the beginning with this line. The Goldberg figure is just indefensible though - even leaving aside the choice of action, for the figure to have the WCW trunks mixed with the recent Goldberg grey bread and having no gloves, it just seems very lazy and not something that should've gotten past the first round of quality control, never mind this far The worst thing is that he's basically the easiest figure to get right that they could wish to work with: big muscular physique, bald head with brown goatee bread, with black trunks, boots, knee-pads and gloves - how the hell do you mess that up?
