those display stands are awesome.
i still hate goldberg and seth being "jumpers", those were my least favorite hasbro bodies back in the day, they need more of the arm swinging stuff

Love the color change on card and stands they have added! Loose collection might look a little different now since some have stands and some don't. Hope they continue to change the color on cards for future series.

I got an email from RSC too. They said mine is being shipped today and the estimated delivery is Friday. Swwweeeet.
Btw, wife had me excited for a minute. On the way home from work she told me she was looking online and saw that Series 4 revealed that it would be Bret Hart, Bulldog, and Ricky Steamboat. I was stoked. Then she was like "Oh never mind, it's the original Hasbro. Lol

I like the stands..Did the previous series come with them as well? Looks like they could fit the regular figures.

Really like the card colour change... hopefully they'll keep changing it every 2 or 3 series. It might have been good to have different era figures on different coloured cards throughout the line (something like: current guys on red, Attitude era guys on yellow, classic/golden era guys on blue).
And it baffles me, how (in a nostalgic RETRO-styled line) we get a modern Goldberg and not the classic WCW one...

I really like the new packaging. I only wish they went full old school Hasbro and included a collector card on the back. Still well done though.

SOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER than those original images. Will buy AJ and Goldberg. Hope they rerelease Cena is a more preferable colored gear like his red, white and blue. The orange and green was gag worthy.

Love the AJ, and stoked with the inclusion of the display stands as well. I have never done any custom work before but I am going to for Goldberg by putting that head to good use on a better body.
Some of the quotes on the cards are gold as well, on the back of Ambrose's you have " Pull Dean's arms up, Unleash a Dirty Deeds". Sounds positively filthy.

Someone please help me out: Hasbro had what - 16 different variations for moves? I can forgive some of the lack of variety this stage in the game but I hope Mattel hears the customers loud and clear on this one.

Better. The card has life at least. We just need a decent batch of figures that do different moves. Maybe a Bret Flair & Macho to add some colour.

In defense of Mattel a little-when you look at what they done so far, we got: Reigns with the straight-arm punch Owens with the head but/power bomb Cena/Warrior with the new rocking torso/slingshot type toss Austin, Mankind, AJ with the modified clothesline (Which they actually did a creative modification on by making the shoulder articulated.) Kane, Undertaker, Brock, Dean and The Rock-*I think* with the press slam Sting, HHH, Rollins, Goldberg with the jumper action But yeah, at this point I wish we weren't already getting four jumpers. In they're place we could have maybe got the Savage/Martel HBK etc. body, the Mr. Perfect body, The Crush body or maybe the Rick Rude/Flair etc. body.....aside from that, my main things are making the carding look even more Retro style. I could live with it though, as long as we get the figures still. Also, hopefully we start to see some trademark accessories here and there aside from these new bases. But as I already mentioned in another post, I can sort of forgive that a bit since most of the guys featured so far aren't really known for too many. But as we continue hopefully we see things like Kurt with gold medals, Goldust with removable wig, new HHH with sledgehammer, Undertaker with an urn etc....and of course, my other major beef is with the distribution on the new sets. But it looks like hopefully Walmart has lost they're iron grip on them maybe. |
