Before Mattel came out with the official Universal title I just glued the wwe title plates to a fruit roll up and cut it to the shape of the belt. |

Quite frankly every WWE title, save the Cruiserweight belt, lacks any creativity whatsoever. Whoever had the final say in the current belts should be slapped. I really hope they can revamp them after 2020. Do they not have a creative team to brainstorm belt designs?

I still don't like the name "Universal Championship" anyway. If they were set on simply recoloring the WWE Championship from the start, they should've went with this gold version and reactivated the WHC. It would've at least made sense since the WHC belt was often referred to as the "Big Gold".

I have to agree, I still think this design is crap and lacks any creativity. As a design major I would say that sometimes less doesn't work. It just looks like a college/high school ring of some sort... would of been nice to see something that looks prestigious or shows class of some sort. Not sure why they would hire the Orange County chopper dudes to make these belts instead of the original belt makers.

That is a sweet looking title.
On the Universal Title, I think it the center plate backing was black it wouldn't look half as bad, it's just the full red and black logo that does it for me.

Haha no R e g g i e I C I think the JMar Oval Intercontinental Championship Title Belt (with nameplate) looks better than the Reggie IC. JMar's Belt, specifically the side plates, gives a better representation of the Intercontinental feel. |

I think they should trash the "big w" design and go back to more of the attitude era style belts. Oval ic, bring back the euro and hardcore. Put one on each brand and get an eagle design on the universal title and BRING BACK THE BIG GOLD. Let smackdown represent it. More titles means more spotlight for others as well.
