There are sites, but usually they're more expensive than eBay... actiontoys.com comes to mind.
I'd stick with eBay or Craigslist in the US. Europe has per country smaller auctionsites outside eBay, Craigslist is also possible. Mexico/South America has MercadoLibre outside eBay.
Visiting real stores: the US also has many thrift stores or even pawn shops where you can find Hasbros.

I Love Ebay.... But
I would never risk selling most of my expensive items there.
e.g Dusty Mocs, KOTR rings etc,
Ebay is an unsafer place for Sellers, but not for Buyers, it's risk free for buyers.

Yeah, silly me trusted sellers with 100% feedback who kept saying my package would arrive until I couldn't open a case anymore...

Yes but it very simple to open an Ebay or Paypal case and get your money back, so risk free. Yeah, silly me trusted sellers with 100% feedback who kept saying my package would arrive until I couldn't open a case anymore... Well it happens to the best of us, happens to me time to time because the item sells too low and I pay and they never pay or respond. But I give it a week or 2 before opening a case and I am confident I will get my money back. It's much much riskier to be a seller on ebay nowadays. you sell e.g Big josh Galoob with Axe Handle, buyer says Axe handle wasn't in the box, ebay believes them, you've lost £100.00. I know it suck to open a case as a seller did not send an item, but at least you know you will get your money back. So Risk free. I think you owe me another apology Mr Ruby Fusion.

Not true at all. Photograph the item with a good camera, describe it accuarately, pack it safely, use a tracked and insured method of post, then you are 100% covered by eBay's seller protection policy.

Tell them to return it, when it arrives without the ax handle notify eBay it wasn't the same item returned.

You have zero Ebay sense it seems, the buyer has already (lied) said the Axe Handle is missing, ok say "send the figure back" you have still lost the Axe handle, Ebay won't side with you at all. you have zero proof the Axe handle was even in the box, so if the buyer lies and says it's missing, then you have lost £100.

As for this, well lets says a buyer, buys an expensive Jacket from you and they don't like it or it doesn't fit But you don't accept returns (so they are stuck with it) they could damaged it and return it free, and get all their money back. take all the photos you want, they could simply find a blindspot you missed photo'ing or they could pick the smallest thing to complain about (e.g a loose stitch) and return the item and you have wasted the return postage and original postage.
