I feel when Edge and Chris Jericho were paired up as a tag team in 2009 it was a dynamic pairing. Two of the three of the biggest heels (Cm Punk being in it as well) of the year 2009. Now I come to believe the plan always for Edge and Jericho to go at it at Wm 26. But if Edge never got sidelined how would their Tag team title and build to WM 26 would of went?

Edge has said that the plan was always for Edge vs Jericho at WM26. Now whether the title was always apart of that or not, that was never confirmed by him.
Had he never gotten injured, I feel that their tag title run would have went similar to Jerishow. Obviously no dominant giant like Big Show, but they'd have held the titles until the end of the year and dropped em to DX. Jericho then turns on Edge and we have our feud.

Definitely the same way it went down with Big Show in Edge's place.
Though I am curious as to who would have beat DX for the tag titles. Possible The Miz and Big Show still. It's too bad Edge got injured a few weeks into that title reign with Jericho, but I actually preferred Jeri-Show over Rated Y2J.
Though I did hear that they were gonna mesh Edge's and Jericho's theme song together, so that would have been interesting to hear.

I can’t remember whether it’s the You Think You Know Me? or Breaking The Code documentary but Michael Hayes says that Edge and Jericho were planned to be a huge tag team so it wouldn’t shock me if it eventually culminated into a match at WrestleMania 26.

I think it's in the E and C podcast, maybe the one they talk about injuries, and edge pretty much confirms they were going to be pushed as a top act, a major tag team and set to work a program with DX then ending with the turn and WM26 match.
I think the difference with jerishow and Rated Y2J angles is they probably would have made Jericho and Edge a huge focal point of the show and pushed them as thee top act where as Jericho/show was pushed but wasn't focal point as much.

My second most tag team storyline I wish had a chance to play out. The first being HBK and Austin in 97.

Jericho talks about it in his book. Like with Big Show, it was to lead to he and Edge facing DX at TLC, so I imagine it would've been essentially the same, the only difference being a slow burn and eventual split culminating in a match at WrestleMania. I don't think the world title was initially the plan either, so despite Edge's injury, everything fell into place beautifully: maybe even better than the original plan.
