"How much does that guy weigh???"
'93 and '94 for me. I love everything about that mid-93 transition time ... Bret's matches, Hogan still there but leaving, Yoko's rise ... when I really got into wrestling. '94 is super underrated and Owen is awesome in it, Bret/Diesel match great too.
Watched '96 for the first time in many, many years the other day and it's amazing how uneven that show is despite all the (deserved) praise for Austin's promo. The tourney matches at the PPV are throwaways, Warrior/Lawler is garbage, same with tag match. But Taker/Mankind is incredible and Michaels/Bulldog is also really, really great. And goosebumps watching Austin walk up that stage before the promo, his presence is incredible.

95 for me was fun to watch just to see Philly crap all over it and rightfully so. When they were chanting ECW! you could tell it caught Vince off guard on commentary.

1994 is my favorite. I liked that 1994 just seemed like the writing was on the wall for Razor Ramon to win it and he didn't. I remember watching it live and could not believe Owen won the thing. It's funny because right after this event is when I became a huge Owen fan and was super mad that he lost to Bret at Summerslam. This event also had the first of four pay per view titles matches of Bret and Diesel. I feel like this feud is super underrated.

If Razor had won the King of the Ring then holy sh*t what a year 1994 would've been for him. He retained the Intercontinental title at both Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, regained it from Diesel at Summerslam and was the sole survivor at Survivor Series. A clean sweep of the yearly PPV schedule is no small feat even back then. I still say Bret was the unanimous MVP of the company in 1994. That was his year and nobody was going to deny him. Owen was a close runner-up with Razor getting the bronze. Great years for all three. ********** Actually, now that I think about it Diesel had a damn good 1994 as well winning all three championships and ending the year on top of the WWF. Tough competition.

I wish WWF had run the King of the Ring's like they did the Wrestling Classic with all the tournament matches but I guess with more TV shows like Raw and Superstars, it gave fans better quality/non-jobber matches to look forward to.
