What if after the bash at the beach 2000 incident, Hulk Hogan had decided to return to the WWF? How would he fit in with the Attitude Era, would he be WWF Champion again, would the main event of Wrestlemania X7 be Stone Cold vs. Hulk Hogan? Would we see Rock and Hogan two years earlier? Hogan and HHH? Would he be commissioner of the WWF after Foley? Would he debut as a face or heel? What do y'all think? And how would you have felt about Hogan's return in 2000 if it had happened? (If only...)

I don't think he could have been Hollywood Hogan if he returned then, could he?? I am sure that would somehow belong to WCW I would think.
My guess is Hogan would be brought in as Vince's golden boy. Saying how Hogan always did what he was told, and how that's how you make a star. And then feud with Rock and Austin. Eventually though, I am sure Hogan would go face.
Actually, it would probably be a lot like his 2002 return, only in 2000 there would be no NWO with him.

I could see them trying to bring him in heel, but like in 2002 I don’t see that lasting long.
Maybe reveal that Big Show was the one who ran over Austin under the orders of someone else, but they never reveal who. Austin returns at Unforgiven to whip some a** but Show gets away. Austin chases him for the next month and gets a No DQ match at No Mercy. Austin is able to dominate the brawl with weapons, but before the match ends X-PAC attacks Austin and him and Show escape without the match ending.
Over the next month Big Show and X-PAC allude to their past friendship (without obviously mentioning the nWo) while Austin is still chasing them. Austin gets them in a handicap match at Survivor Series, where Austin beats the hell out of both of them. While he’s celebrating with a beer bath, Hollywood Hogan attack’s him from behind and the three leave Austin laid out as they celebrate the return of Hogan to the WWF.
The next night Hogan reveals that he ordered Big Show to run down Austin as Austin had become too much of a threat to Hogan’s eventual WWF return. We then get a slow build to the eventual Austin/Hogan showdown at WM17.

He could've been the man who ran over Austin. That would've been perfect.

If Austin vs Hogan did happen at WM-X7, I wouldn't be surprised if the Vince/Austin heel turn thing still happened.

Hogan returning in 2000 would have never have worked especially not without Hall and Nash the nWo would have to be a must either that or the 2000 return would be a bust

Love Hogan but I think there's a reason why a lot of these guys weren't around in the Attitude Era. Bret's my all-time favorite but he would have been sorely out of place in 99 or 2000. Same with Hogan. Timing was right when he came back later on.
