Listening to Buff in a shoot interview here, it really is sad he never got a proper run in WWE. Say what you will about him, but he has tones of charisma and is such a character, hes exactly what WWE wants in a wrestler and If it werent for his problems Im sure he could have become a big name in WWE. Its because he's so full of himself and his mannerisms that makes him so funny and entertaining, I think Buff knows this obviously more than anyone and thats what really eats him up to this day and why he comes off as bitter and such. I remember listening to him on Austins podcast and Austin said something similar about him, he really is such a character and a true shame he wasnt in WWE longer, I think we all would have gotten plenty of laughs from him.

He sucked. Guess I could see him in a manager role like when he was with Steiner. But yeah I don’t miss him at all

He has nobody to blame for how short his stint in the WWE was except for himself.

He has nobody to blame for how short his stint in the WWE was except for himself. And possibly his mom.

If he kept his head down and his mouth shut he might've had a decent run in the WWF. The inmates ran the asylum over at WCW so he probably expected to be treated like a star when he came aboard. Vince was going to make these guys earn a spot and I'm sure Buff Daddy rubbed plenty of people the wrong way with his attitude at the time.
Million dollar body, $0.10 mind. Thanks for that one, Bobby.

I always liked Bagwell. From what I’ve heard he was a d*** behind the scenes, but there’s no denying that he had ALOT of charisma and was serviceable in the ring. He was also pretty over with the crowds. Vince must have seen potential in him or he wouldn’t have selected him to main event Raw with Booker T.
I’ve heard both sides of the story as to why his stint was so quick in the WWE. There’s the side where they say he acted like a d*** behind the scenes and got into a physical fight with Gregory Helms which didn’t look good on him. There’s also the story of his mom calling in sick for him.
Then there’s Bagwell’s side where he says that JR was against him from day 1. He also says that they told him not to wear his signature hat during his Raw entrance (no clue why he wouldn’t). He did anyway, and when he got back from taking a shower someone had punched a hole through the top of it.
I personally believe that it’s a combo from both sides, but whatever it was, it’s a shame he didn’t get a longer run with the company. At the least I can see him being an upper midcarder. He had too much charisma not to be.

He has no one to blame for that but himself. Disrespecting Patterson, Having his mom call in sick for him and just being a turd.

Yeah, then maybe they'd be on good terms now and I could get an elite Starrcade 97 Bagwell figure.

The trouble is he believed his own hype and thought he was more valuable than Vince did. He was good and entertaining in WCW once he joined the NWO but he was never going to main event imo Plus getting your Mum to call the office for you as he is rumoured to have done certainly wont help things

I liked him when he and Scorpio were doing their thing in the year of 1993 for WCW. But besides that, I never really cared for him.
I do feel he should have had a WCW TV Title reign in the early stages of the NWO when guys were jumping sides.

He was never the same in the ring after he broke his neck.

Never saw the big deal, seemed like one of those guys that only got pushed when everyone else bigger then him started walking away from WCW.
They would have pushed anyone during the dying days of WCW.
