Candidates to win the title on this week’s edition of SmackDown are Mark Henry, Batista, or Matt Hardy. WWE could bring Rey Mysterio back and put the strap back on him immediately, but that would seem to be the most unlikely to happen. Credit: www.rajah.com |

Not Hardy. He's not ready just yet. If they're going to have him main event, they need to insert him with a big storyline that gets the fans behind him.

JBL wasn't "ready" for the World Title either, but that didn't stop him from having one of the most entertaining reigns in years...

JBL wasn't "ready" for the World Title either, but that didn't stop him from having one of the most entertaining reigns in years... Yeah but the JBL/Eddie feud was very emotional, and made the fans want to hate Bradshaw. Having Hardy win tonight would be...un-emotional if you know what I mean. A guy like him( a talented star who's getting their first World title reign) needs a decent buildup. |

You know what would be really cool, Some masked guy in jeans and a long black shirt enters the battle royal and wins, and doesen't reveal himself. It has the fans speculating until the GAB.
ECW title match starts and winner and new ECW Champion CM Punk celebrates in the ring. He rolls out of the ring, and grabs a black bag from underneath the ring. He pulls out the World Title and first time in History, we have a Dual ECW and SD! World champion. (RVD being first to hold WWE and ECW title)
Punk would be so over and would be so marketable in todays bad press.
Will never happen though.

I guess it's possible, but the fans LOVE Hardy, unless he's made to look like a bitch as a champion, then I think he'd be fine with the belt.. |

Yes Hell Yes, Matt Hardy is a grand world champ. Batista would kill me so would Henry, Reys World Title run was sad so I think he doesnt need it at least for now, It would rule to see Matt with it though
