I put together the Cliff Climber set tonight. The Fisto figure has the same issue I had with my Mer-Man from the Roton set. The crotch piece won't snap all the way down onto the leg pieces, so there's a gap once you put the torso on. It bugs the hell out of me. I guess maybe I'll email their support and see if they'll send me some replacements.

Yeah that's something that I've dealt with. I've gotten them together with force.
I would love if all sets came with the figures already put together like carded figures. The figures are a pain to get together right.
But I do love this line. Have everything (x2 one collection for my display and one for son to play with) , and it is a nice solid collection already.
Only complaint on play side, is the castle is very very fragile. Stuff is constantly falling off.
Out of the 3 new things -
Mega construx is my favorite
Mondo- takes to damn long and the new head sculpts of heman/faker are some of the ugliest things I've seen. Scareglow head paint does not even come close to match body. I display the figures with vintage heads if they come with them. Wish MAA came with one. Can't wait for Hordak.
Origins- mattel has screwed it up already. Those heads of heman and skeketor are so bad. BAA HM looks shocked that he just crapped his pants. The distribution is crap (on par with mattel) figure ratio is beyond stupid (on par mattel)
The evergreen theory of heman and Skeletor is stupid. If it would work out, that's great. But when I see 30+ heman 30+ Skeletor and lucky to see even 1 other character the evergreen shtick needs to go.
Origins has become an online line and that sucks with how awful the paint apps are and other qc.(on wrong cards, 2 of same body parts etc..)
I wish they would pump out as much Mega construx as they can.

It's actually what got me back into MOTU for the first time since the late 80s/early 90s. I'd been collecting MC stuff with the classic 80s cartoon TMNT and Assassin's Creed sets they were putting out. Then the Mega Construx Heroes series 1 came out with He-Man and Skeletor. I got those, then Beast Man and Teela in series 2, and since then I own everything in the MOTU line. I even have the SDCC-exclusive Battle Bones set. I'm also all in on the Origins line, and I've been slowly starting a MOTU Classics collection.

Definitely a fun line and really satisfying because 1) it looks great, 2) it's easier to find than pretty much every other line, and 3) it's like He-Man Legos, which I would have loved to have as a kid. No one is scalping it or looking to retire by reselling, either, so I can actually find it online and even at Walmart sometimes. Such a change from every other toy line these days. And good luck with your Classics collection. They're amazing, but I can't imagine trying to collect them now. People are definitely trying to retire on selling those figures.

Yeah...they're not cheap. I'm starting with the Club Grayskull Filmation line. I'm at 7 figures now, and I've spent $450.

I started with the classics. But with how mattel and digital river handled everything from the start. I couldn't deal with it.
And also I hated the heman sculpts. They just can't get him right since vintage.

When does Trap Jaw get released? The version with the minicomic colors is already in stores. It comes in one of the Skeletor heads.

Seems like there will be a regular Trap Jaw coming, but Mattel hasn't really said or revealed much since SDCC. As far as I know, it's only been unconfirmed leaks that we've seen, including an unpainted proto for Trap Jaw, but it hasn't been made official or given a release date.

That's great. I'll definitely be getting it, too. I'd get it just for the gold Power Sword , but I like the other stuff, as well. And it has Orko! I see He-Man has a different logo on his harness. I wonder if that's just for this or if it's something they want to try to stick with going forward (like maybe in the new Netflix series).

Brickseek lied to me about my Walmart having Masters of the WWE Universe figures tonight, but fortunately I found the new MC Heroes figures there. So I got the clear Predator, Michaelangelo, Borderlands Psycho, and Sam Fisher. I didn't see Claptrap, but I wasn't looking for him so maybe he was there and I missed him.
Predator is one of my all-time favorite characters, but I wasn't as excited about this version. What I'm really happy about is completing my TMNT set of all four Turtles. I never expected to get it done this soon into the year because I had no idea when the wave with Mikey was hitting.

Target has the Skeletor heads, so if you're tired of checking walmarts that refuse to put new stuff out, try target.

For some reason Amazon hasn't gotten them yet, even though they get everything else it seems. The heads are definitely cool, but I wouldn't pay up much for them. There just isn't enough there, and they're almost not worth the 10 retail charges (and that's coming from a HUGE fan).

Basically paying for the figure and head. Tells you how much you're over paying for a carded figure. Not complaining, because 5 bucks isn't that bad, but when you get a 5 dollar figure, a plastic head container, and the pieces to build things for 10 bucks, just shows how prices are skewered.
Can only imagine how much they are going to charge for that calendar.

I'm guessing the calendar will be 30, but I'm not really sure. The Battle For Eternia pack was 20 at retail, I believe, and it had five figures. The extra little vehicles and things are cool, but they're novelty items really. Neat but no real use or function.

I'm thinking at least $50. Advent calendars are way too expensive for the crap you get.

I've never bought one, so you could be right. These are bricks, after all, and piece count comes into play.

According to listings on Deep Discount, the calendar will be $30 and the new Battle Cat will be $65, which probably means it'll be the first piece of the MC MOTU line that I pass on.
