I feel Edge was hired on because of his looks and was elevated to the main event scene due to the success of TLC. Was this there way of getting him over? Discuss. Nothing on Edge I think he’s great but he was the least talented wrestler in those matches.

I respectfully disagree with Edge being the least talented of that TLC group. He was always more technically sound and versatile than both of the Dudleyz and Jeff. And while Matt and Christian matched him in those categories, Edge had the better look and more charisma. I'm not a huge Edge fan either, but still I gotta give credit where it's due. He always seemed to have a leg up on those other guys.
If anything, I think the TLC matches were more instrumental in getting the Hardyz over. They spent their early days as absolute jobbers and only got some recognition once they began jumping off ladders. The Dudleyz always carried that hardcore ECW vibe and were over for being guys who put people through tables. And while the No Mercy ladder match was definitely a coming-out party for both teams, Edge and Christian got themselves over when they ditched the whole goth aura and started the "E&C" thing. They were great heels and all of their promos were super entertaining.
Those TLC matches elevated all three teams, but if you had to choose which team single-handedly got most over as a result of them it's for sure the Hardyz. Not a knock either.

Now I hate the TLC matches. I think they are overrated. BUT...The guys that were involved wanted to steal the show and you can make the argument that they did. McMahon didn't care about any of the performers in the match, and didn't see any of them as main event talent at that time.The first two TLC matches were SummerSlam 2000 and Mania x-Seven in 2001. Edges first main event level title win didn't happen until he cashed in at January 2006. So I doubt McMahon had a 5 year plan in place to get Edge over, seeing as how he has a knack for changes Raw events the day of the show.

In his documentary McMahon liked the sex factor of edge as was one reason he was signed

He was also pushed KOTR, US, IC, Tag Champs with Hogan, and WWE WHC.
I’m not saying he didn’t deserve it and was very entertaining.
Idk he Was the only one they really stuck behind.
Hardy’s were going to get over regardless

The TLC matches happened by fluke. For the No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 matches were both just ladder matches. Of course they ended up using tables at Wrestlemania 2000, but I think that's when Vince saw that all 6 men could do some amazing stuff with tables, ladders and chairs.
So I don't believe the TLC matches were ever designed to get Edge over or give him some kind of mega push.

No and Christian sucks more then any of them. I never could understand why he was ever pushed after they broke up and even got a silly world title reign. Christian is like the annoying little tag-a-long that rides the coattails of the quarterback of the football team because they feel sorry for him.

Nope but it help turn Edge,Christian,Jeff,Matt & Bubba into main event stars and world champions(WWE & TNA)and I would say of the group Edge was and still is clearly the best of the lot and was the most well rounded when it came to the total package.Ranking in order,
Edge
Jeff
Christian
Matt
Bubba
D'Von(the one who did the least in the TLC matches and also the only one without a world title reign)

I completely disagree with it. Those matches didn’t really look to get one singular guy over, more like they were trying to get all three teams MEGA over.
Of course they succeeded.
But yeah they saw that he was talented and they wanted to give both of E&C solo chances and they seemed to think Edge was the one to go with so they got behind him, just like anyone else they want to push, they’ll give them championship wins.

Like others have said, they were designed to get all three teams over.
Yes, Edge was the guy Vince was clearly behind the most, but the Hardyz and Christian got solid pushed as well following the end of that era in early 2001.
As far as who was the most talented from those matches, I’d put Christian up against Edge in any category. He was just as good, if not better than Edge when comparing them. Edge had the look, but Christian could match him everywhere else.
Also a shame that they never got behind Matt more as he was said to have helped build a lot of the TLC matches. The guy is hugely underrated as an in-ring performer and should have gotten a push towards the main event at some point like Jeff did.
The only guys who didn’t work great apart from each other were the Dudleyz (Bully Ray was okay but overrated in TNA). They needed each other big time, and while just as popular as the other teams, didn’t offer much outside of the gimmick tag matches.

that ladder match at no mercy made everyone look at e&c and Hardy’s differently. they raised the bar for what was happening in the wwe after and came into their own as their demand grew.
