Why did Samu left the Headshrinkers? and were made to wear boots?

Samu left to recover from some nagging injuries. He was replaced by Sionne (The Barbarian). The kayfabe reason given to Samu’s departure was that he "ate some bad fish and got a disease" and was not coping well with manager Lou Albano’s attempts to civilize the Headshrinkers, especially wearing boots.

Loved the Headshrinkers. Shame they didn't get a run with the belts when they were heels.

great team and was looking forward to them and the LOD squaring off when they first turned up in 92 but it never happened. I always thought it seemed a bit out of no where when they brought back the barbarian to team with fatu and while it kind of worked for a while the tag division on the decline by that point.

Samu did come back in 1996. He and Rosey were the Samoan Gangsta Party and were scouting Fatu and Fatu said, "they are family, but not good family." Not sure where they were going with all that. That was in spring of 1996.
After that, Fatu left to become The Sultan, and the Samoan Gangsta Party ended up in ECW to feud with The Gangstas.
