Just my personal take on the matter: Entrance Greats Kurt Angle has noticeable flaws, but I'm still glad to have it in my collection. There's no denying it could be better. Mattel probably wanted to cut costs wherever possible, and thus this was the result. I have no explanation for Kurt's hair color mix, but I consider it an unequivocal failure. The SDCC hand-painted prototype wasn't perfect either, but it was closer to my preferred end of the spectrum. Do I wish that Mattel had chosen different parts/paint applications for this figure? Absolutely, and I have no doubts they will improve upon it for Kurt's next Flashback Elite (whenever that may be). Is it enough for me to not want to buy the first WWE Kurt Angle figure in a decade? No, of course not. I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I wasn't going to buy this before it reached stores. And I did just that. Here are some pics of the figure I received from my most recent Ringside Collectibles order: As much as I dislike the color of Kurt's hair and the painted-on skin tone of Kurt's torso, I think I have a bigger bone to pick with the bottom color of his singlet appearing to fade to a lighter shade of blue (last pic).

I seriously dont understand why Mattel continues to paint the thigh portion of a singlet when they literally have at least 2 different sculpted pieces for a singlet.
Someone needs to update the spreadsheet.

Can you do it again because if so, I have a suggestion.

This place is brutal sometimes, I swear. 1) WFIGS member has a complaint about a figure they purchased. This is why forums exist. Complain is justified given the product. 2) Member(s) who think it is either a) childish to complain or b) money isn't an object to them proceed to bash and ridicule original poster to make them feel inferior and make their gripe appear unimportant. Oh wow dude you're so cool and much more mature than everyone else since you are talking down to someone complaining about a figure they purchased. Give me a break. The internet is 99.99999% complaining. If you don't want to see complaints or negativity, get off the internet. Pretty much. If you pay attention closely like I do, you'll notice it's always the same couple of members who chime in and complain about the complainers too, making them the biggest complainers on the forum in my eyes. "It's a $25 mass produced toy, quit complaining!!! What quality control? I haven't had ANY issues, therefore, quit bitching and accept what I'm telling you! REEEEE!" So annoying. I wish certain people would just stay away for good when they get banned, especially the members who act like they hate everything about this place.

Complaining isn’t an issue.. It’s when nonsense complaints turn into judgements made about someone’s job skill or work ethic.
When you have a ridiculously produced product like this, you are going to have mishaps with paint. Factory workers don’t go over these things like a collector would. Mattel are more worried about actual QC issues.
Sure, it may be a cash grab..but they are in the business of making money.
Don’t let this be another Lorenzo/sting thread, that pushes MDT further away.
It’s all about having sense. Sure the same people complain about complaints(I for one) But the same people find issues in every single figure they buy. That’s why it gets so repetitive.

People have always and will always continue to use this forum to complain about bad paint apps and poor part choices. You've been here long enough and have had enough accounts to know that this isn't going to stop, no matter how much it annoys you personally. Out of curiosity, I just looked to see what else Squared² has complained about since you claim it's always the same people, and I couldn't find anything, but yet you're here giving your usually lecture about mass-produced toys for the 5,000th time. I actually agree that some people take it too far occasionally, but you bring up the Lorenzo/Sting incident all the time when it doesn't even apply.

The asking price for this on Smyths in the UK is £32.99 which is such a shocking price for what you're getting here. Still one of my most wanted figures ever but the green hair sucks. Barbarian has the same hair colour which I don't think I seen mentioned.

Every time people downplay a poor attempt like this figure and still buy it, it sets us back.
We really need Mattel to raise the standard, because it's only going down. I'd like better figures than ever, not worse.

Yeah I just can't spend my money on this one. Hope they do better on the next one, but it seems like once they get parts picked it is rare that they change them, and the painted skin tone for singlets does not seem to be going away in spite of the backlash here:/

crashholly2002 Mattel has been cheapening out and making a lot of mistakes lately. Dx hbk, no kneepads, no detail on the X's, inaccurate headscan, the new WM 33 Jeff has a painted tanktop when the goldust shirt mold could of been used, main event ring Goldberg has his lips painted gray, badly painted eyebrows and goatee, no tan or glossed boots. These are just a few examples, Mattel has been doing this more and more often. When the line started I had little to no complaints, but as we progress these problems are becoming more frequent. Add that to the addition of quality control. I've said this before, but this Kurt should of used his own unique mold. Neither ryback molds work for him, the Bret torso although slightly smaller represented that singlet better with the choice of ziggler's molded trunks. However we did not get that...

It's not Green, it's Green-Ish.
As opposed to Day One Ish.

most of the upper torso is flesh. Why wouldnt they mold it in flesh tone??? I can understand Bray and Ambrose because its only their neck and a sliver of shoulder.
