I saw a 2 pack today of DDP and Raven from 1998 ish WCW where their hands have magnets. There was also a garbage can (I think?) in the set. What is this? What are the magnets for?

Grip N Flip. They had magnets to make them grapple. There were 6 sets I believe. Released in 1999 by the legendary Toybiz! Heres some examples. Hope this helps.

I think they were called grip n flips...Their hands would lock together and you could squeeze their legs and it would fling the other wrestler. There was DDP-Raven, Malenko-Jericho, Hogan-Goldberg, Nash-Konan, Sting-Bret, Luger-Buff and Steiner Brothers if I remember correctly.

Are they worth anything? The ones I saw were MIP I want to open them unless they're super valuable on card

Dont think they're really worth much. I had the Malenko-Jericho set

Loose they tend to lose the magnets. Here's my 3-pack (was a UK-exclusive, I believe) Attachment DeletedBig Poppa Pump, Goldberg and DDP

They are just another gimmick set from back in the day but I like them. I used to have a full set of those long ago. I currently have two in my collection as seen here...

I had the Steiners set back in the day, they were two of my favourite figures. Came with a stretcher I believe.

I remember seeing these in stores and thought they were terrible. The one thing that always bothered me about WCW is they never to me anyway had normal figures. Most had some kind of gimmick thing to them while WWE had Jakks that were regular figures and realistic kind of guys

You should be able to get them for $20 or less + shipping. Mine are shown in the stick thread as the "official" thread toward the top of this section.

I have DDP and Raven though one of them lost a magnet so if you 'grip and flip' them, the one without the magnet flies off into a heap.

Toybiz was the worst when it came to releasing two packs. To think, this is the only Steiner brothers two pack they released. It’s a crying shame.
