- Smackdown matches being discussed for Wrestlemania 24 include The Undertaker vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight championship and Edge vs. Rey Mysterio. The previous idea was Undertaker vs. Edge, so perhaps the mindset has changed.

Here is how I would book this:
Edge returns on SD the friday after Cyber Sunday, and spears Batista. Vicki Guerrero then books Edge v. Batista (c) for the WHC at Survivor Series. Then at SvS, Edge rolls up Batista with tights/ropes. Next week, Batista bitches that he was cheated and wants his rematch, then Vickie says, you can't because you lost the "Last Chance" match at Vengeance. So later, there is a #1 Contenders battle royale. The final three are Rey, Finlay and Batista. Batista is pushing Finlay out, and all of a sudden, Rey dropkicks Batista out.
Rey v. Edge (c) WHC Match programs are set for Armageddon and Royal Rumble. Finlay and Batista work a program, ending at Armageddon.
Edge goes over at Armageddon, and at the Royal Rumble Edge is about to con-chairto Rey while the ref is down, and Batista hits the ring looking as to make the save, but he stares down Edge then, Batista Bombs Rey. Right after, Edge hits the con-chairto, and pins Rey. Later on Taker wins the Rumble for the 2nd consecutive year.
Next SD Taker says he wants Edge for stealing his title, and says it will be Streak v. Streak for the WHC. Edge (5-0-1) v. Taker (15-0). Also, Vicki Guerrero announces Rey Mysterio v. Batista at WrestleMania XXIV.
They build both fueds and a few weeks before NWO, Guerrero announces Batista/Edge v. Taker & Rey as the SD main event at NWO.
After NWO, the Road to WM24 heats up.........

I only kinda want to see a Batista/Undertaker HIAC match, and I certainly don't want to see that at WM. Another regular match between them at WM? No thanks. Edge/Mysterio? Would probably be a decent match, but I'd rather see Edge in the Smackdown main event of WM24.

World Heavyweight Championship
Edge vs Undertaker
ECW Championship
CM Punk vs Rob Van Dam(could be back by then)
Triple H vs Chris Jericho
Batista(heel) vs Rey Mysterio
MITB Ladder Match
Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy vs Umaga vs MVP vs Bobby Lashley vs Mr. Kennedy vs Kane vs John Morrison.
That would be a perfect WrestleMania card.

Why the hell would they book Batista V Undertaker again? It was amazing last time because Undertaker actually won the title, but this time, it's more than likely Batista would go over him.
Undertaker V Edge needs to happen.

Here is what I want at wrestlemania
WWE Championship Y2J vs. Mr. Kennedy Y2J won it at Armageddon. Winner Mr. Kennedy Y2J would then get a rematch at the next PPV and lose. Y2J would then win it back at SummerSlam.
WHC Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Batista the whole match involves them double teaming Edge then Batista goes and grabs Rey then he Batista bombs him and Batista stands up pinning him with one foot on him. then Batista gets speared by Edge and Edge pins Rey Rey leading to Rey Mysterio vs. Batista at the next PPV. Edge won it from Batista at Royal Rumble. Winner Edge
ECW Championship: Johnny Morrison vs. Elijah Burke vs. Cm Punk
CM Punk won it from Morrison at the Royal Rumble and Elijah Burke won a number one contender tournament involving Big Daddy V, Tommy Dreamer, Stevie Richards, Elijah Burke, and The Miz with one person getting eliminated every week in a 5 way then 4 way etc. Winner Elijah Burke who would turn face when going to shake the hands of Punk and Morrison. Morrison who would decline would then attack Elijah Burke and would convince Armando Alejandro Estrada to have him defend it every week on ECW on Sci-Fi against Big Daddy V, Tommy Dreamer, and Matt Striker in Extreme Rules. Morrison would then beat Elijah Burke at Backlash.
Money in the Bank: Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. HBK vs. MVP vs. Kenny Dykstra vs. Tommy Dreamer winner: MVP who would face Kenny at the next PPV with Kenny's US title on the line vs. Money In the Bank which would then be put on MVP. MVP would then lose the U.S championship to Finlay 3 months later. MVP would cash in Money in the Bank at Survivor Series after Rey Mysterio had just won the Elimination Chamber for the World Heavyweight Championship who defeated Edge Batista The Great Khali Umaga and Matt Hardy.
No DQ Intercontinental Championship: Carlito vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Santino Marella Winner and new Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella who pinned Carlito after a low blow with his feet on the ropes. Santino Marella would then face Super Crazy who won a 1# contendership battle Royal on Raw the next night at Backlash and would hold it to Armageddon when he would lose it to Bobby Lashley.
Triple H vs. Mr. McMahon Last Man Standing. Mark Henry would interfere and start a rivalry with Triple H which would end in a Hell in a Cell with Mark Henry and Vince Against Triple H which would happen at SummerSlam with Triple H pinning Vince. Shane McMahon would be at ringside. Mick Foley would be the Referee and would attack Vince when Vince would hit him with a chair shot to the back for not counting faster than the normal referee.
World tag team championship Highlanders vs. Hooliganz: Winners Hooliganz who would then defend it against teams from ECW and Smackdown when they would Unify the title with the WWE Tag Team Championship at Vengeance they would then lose it to the Stampede Bulldogs at Summerslam
WWE Tag Team Championship: Deuce and Domino vs. the Stampede Bulldogs. The Bulldogs would win but lose the titles to the Hooliganz at Vengeance in a Unification match but would win them back at Summerslam to become the 2nd Undisputed Tag Team Champions in a Tag Team Turmoil also including Drew Mcintre and Dave Taylor, Deuce and Domino, WGTT, and Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch
Umaga vs the Undertaker Umaga would win and then get a huge push which would lead to him getting the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania XXV.

Shannon Moore vs. Matt Sydal vs. Jimmy Yang vs. Funaki vs. Super Crazy vs. Jamie Noble winner Matt Sydal

Undertaker vs Batista two years in a row is a big NO NO. Why try and flog something which has had its time already.
However Rey vs Edge sounds good.
