I mean, it makes perfect business sense to have some kind of database where they can easily and quickly pull templates for figures, especially at the rate they're putting figures out.

All of you complaining about spreadsheets should chill. When you create a figure that is basically the exact same as a previous one, just painted different...why the hell not? There’s more elites now more than ever. Walmart, Target, Walgreens, tru all have exclusive elites, plus the mainline. We know nothing of budgets each exclusive gets or nothing of the actual creative process to manufacturing. Sometimes things are done for a reason, whether it’s economical or time saving..it has to be done. Especially with such a megacompany like mattel. Calling bills work ethic into question is just spoiled and out right rude. Because changing parts with different parts that already exist should not cost money at all. How would giving Macho tall boots that already exist cost money?

How would giving Macho tall boots that already exist cost money? Plastic costs money. Paint costs money. Design and labor costs money. Also, tools have a shelf life. After a tool/mold is used so many times a new one must be made, which can take a long time, so if there is one they can use instead they will to make do in their window of manufacturing timeframe.

Taller boots would also mean finding different leg parts to keep the figure at the same height, which may or may not be possible. Bottom line: it's a lot of extra work and cost to change something only a handful of people notice or care about.

DiBiase is 6'3, and Savage was 6'2 so it wouldn't really mess with the scale. Also worth noting that the other basic DiBiase figures don't have the tall boots.

And whatever leg parts they do have, may not work with the color of the paint apps Again, none of this should make anyone question the work ethic of MDT

Look, I'm just glad to get a Ron Simmons with that version of the WCW belt. Torso may not be 100% but whatever. It's a mass produced $20 toy. I'm ok with it. If it was like a $65+ figure, yeah, I'd be peeved, but it's not and again I'm just happy we're getting this. Now get us a Farooq with helmet!!!!! THANK YOU! Bout time someone had some sense to say this.

Good lord I have no clue why this thread isn’t locked yet. As much as I love this hobby and this forum it sure does turn to crap, real quick. These are toys people! Freaking toys!!! And what’s even more funny is that while we get on here and complain until our ears bleed about someone’s boots being to short, you have the Mattel retros that look like little lumps of molded clay. These are toys for god sakes. We’ve been begging for a Brian Kendrick figure for a couple of years now, and finally he’s coming. But oh no, let’s not get excited because this prototype has the ring color “something or other”.
Am I the only one who doesn’t give a care if someone is given the “wrong” torso or whatever.

This figure is a pretty good sign that they'll be doing more unique hand molds down the line. I can se them making all of those, and pretty much any unique hand gesture aside from Austins middle finger. I'd love "10" hands for Dillinger Oooh. You can do the Austin finger salute with those hands too. *But yeah, there’s so many hand molds I want. Diamond Cutter, RVD, pointing, 4 Horsemen, Vader V, and Too Sweeeet. omg diamond cutter hands would be incredible. Maybe that's the holdup on a new DDP elite

yeah I thought it was an elite aswell I'm thinking Tozawa is getting a basic first, and then will see an Elite in a more detailed attire. A Tozawa Elite was in the online leaks. Maybe RSC is picking up a line of 205 Live exclusives? Would make sense, since Kendrick doesn't fit the mold of the previous RSC exclusives, which have all been less iconic looks of big name superstars. That would be cool. Just give all the cruiserweights to Ringside. I've been thinking for a while now that the more obscure guys should be on Ringside anyways. It makes no sense to have Nash only there but Tugboat in stores, for instance. That way we get some people like Kendrick we wouldn't normally be able to get.

I think the RSC exclusives line would be perfect to put obsure names like you mentioned but also legends that those in the main marketplaces may not appreciate.

And in some actual news, the Network Spotlight series is now being rebranded as the WWE Fan Central series. Guess WWE's relationship with KMart is officially dead. This might be a good place for those WWE.com poll winners. That would be cool. Maybe every figure in the line could be the result of a poll?

Sorry but where did we get confirmation on the network spotlight series? And I sure hope Kmart doesn’t start having more exclusives. There is literally one location in northern Nevada and it’s in such a bad area of town I won’t let my wife shop there alone.
