If there are no spreadsheets, then please tell me why Savage never got tall boots the new u.s.a savage coming with the same left kneepad maniacs savage came with makes me feel they have some sort of computer program that most of the parts are punched in to that saves them time. There are a lot more examples that i cant think of right now but it makes sense Instead of the design team punching in all the part numbers/codes everytime they make a yokozuna, they just pull up the file and change colors and send it out. I think the real question is why wouldnt they have spreadsheets You would think everytime they make an ultimate warrior elite , how much time they save using a program that has the parts used stored, they wont have to try to remember what the name of each thigh mold he used was or the size of shin? Theres definetly a program used (a.k.a the infamous "spreadsheet") Exactly! I'm amazed that anyone would think a Fortune 500 company doesn't keep track of what parts they use. It would be idiotic not to. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Especially given how consistent Mattel has been about keeping figures accurate to height and in scale with each other. Think of the opposite situation: what if you had 6 different Cena figures, all with a different parts combination because each figure was designed from scratch. There are some obvious situations that could and should caught in the design process comparing against reference photos. But let's not act like this is some shocking revelation and we should all get our pitchforks out. Then again this board does love to find any reason to complain...

And in some actual news, the Network Spotlight series is now being rebranded as the WWE Fan Central series. Guess WWE's relationship with KMart is officially dead.

This might be a good place for those WWE.com poll winners. It would make sense, and then the "wrestlecrap" type figures continue to be one-off figures with unique packaging. There was also the "fantasty matchup" 2-pack vote last year that we haven't heard anything about since, so I can see those all going to TRU. Crappy timing for collectors with stores closing near many of us.

It's things like this that make Mattel look really incompetent at times. Bill strikes me as the the type who penny pinches when it comes to building the figures as well. There have been countless times when a released figure is inaccurate and/or missing something. I remember a video not too long ago where Mick Foley's daughter mentioned to him that he left something out/made a mistake with a figure and he said something along the lines of "my bad" without sounding too apologetic and Foley's daughter said something like "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh Billllll" like he'd dropped another doozy. On the plus side, it debunks the S P R E A D S H E E T theory Bill's not the Budget Man, he doesn't need to penny pinch lol, he works within the budget he's given Is it not plausible for Bill to cheap out on certain aspects of the figures to earn Mattel a bigger profit and in return get a nice bonus at then end of the year? I'm not stating it as fact, but nearly every video I've seen of Bill he gives me the impression that he's being stingy with the budget. Just my opinion of course.

HAHAHAHA! Wow, is that supposed to be Ruby Riot or Steph? Terrible head sculpt and I don't care how many people tell me it's "supposed to be bad" because that's a horrible excuse for that head looking nothing like Steph. Thank god the other head in the set looks great because this is by far one of their worst efforts. That reminds me, what time is The Walking Dead on?

Everything is “laziness”... Most over used word in these forums. Wish they'd give it the "spam" treatment.

Laziness to be honest. They just took the mold from the Ringside Exclusive (the 92/93 era one not the DX one) and probably didn’t think about it. I don’t know how Mattel constantly makes such silly mistakes like this. Y’all still think spreadsheets is a myth?! I’m a business student so absolutely not. However, if Bill put in an order to add the tattoo then clearly it was in the budget. If not then Bill lied, which to be honest I doubt.

So after seeing everything and going on the limited info provided so far, here are my thoughts.
Carmella looks fantastic! Not a big fan of hers in ring but I may get this. It just looks too good!
Same for Naomi. She does nothing for me and outside of her entrance she's as boring as watching paint dry. But again I'm not sure I could pass on this figure once I see it in store.
I like The Brian Kendrick, but God that jacket kills me. Especially since as an exclusive it's going to run nearly $10 over retail. No reason not to have a cloth jacket here. Not sure I can pull the trigger on him at that price.
The milkomania set is fun, and the package is nice but I'm pretty sure this is a pass for me. And that second Steph head is not good.
Ron Simmons is a let down. The head isn't bad but they just made every wrong part choice they could with the rest of the body. Not sure on this one.
Edge isn't bad. He does look like Hayes, but I can live with it. I hope he has some good accessories considering all the Matt has.
Matt is a loaded figure, I love everything he comes with. The likeness is a little less Matt Hardy and a little more Matt Jackson, but it's close enough.
And finally Red Rooster. Holy crap that's a great looking figure. I can't wait to get him. Hopefully this leeds to a new Exercutioner figure.

Flat brown paint on the hair, different shades of paint on the legs; this figure is clearly not finished. Reminds me of that original EG Angle we saw with the painted elbow and knee pads. That scan was questionable too, and it ended up getting tweaked before it hit shelves. I see what they’re trying to do, and I’m looking forward to how they execute it, but I’ll reserve judgement until we see some MOC pics.

KMart emerged from bankruptcy before teaming with Mattel/WWE as Fan Central, but that partnership was a complete joke as most KMarts barely had any WWE figures.

They should probably just drop that second Stephanie head. Nice idea, nice attempt, but can win ‘em all.
Have we ascertained whether there are yellow boots that will swap with Andre? I assume Doink’s are too small.

The spreadsheets are understandable, but setting them in stone sucks. Warrior could be improved with the Network Vince chest.
Creating that Surfer Sting abomination and sticking to it was just insulting. They heard the outcry, we aren't wrong on a lot of these things.

Doinks will be too small Only 2 options are to get some yellow paint and a paintbrush or use hogan / savage boots, it wilo make andre slightly taller but it wont throw the scale off too badly

All of you complaining about spreadsheets should chill.
When you create a figure that is basically the exact same as a previous one, just painted different...why the hell not?
There’s more elites now more than ever.
Walmart, Target, Walgreens, tru all have exclusive elites, plus the mainline.
We know nothing of budgets each exclusive gets or nothing of the actual creative process to manufacturing.
Sometimes things are done for a reason, whether it’s economical or time saving..it has to be done. Especially with such a megacompany like mattel.
Calling bills work ethic into question is just spoiled and out right rude.
