For those of you who care and want an update, my mother is doing better. She's out of the danger zone and recuperating at the rehab facility now. She is lucid but she gets tired really fast. She is walking around a bit with the aid of a walker or cane. Still can't use her right arm for much of anything but honestly that's her fault for not taking her physical therapy more seriously. My father and I are doing our best to nicely badger her into keep working it until she gets full use of the arm back.
With any luck, she should be coming home in another week or two to finish her recovery before she has to go back in to the hospital to get a plate put in her skull. I know she is looking forward to the day she does't have to wear the safety helmet anymore.
I'll reiterate what I said before: don't get old. It sucks.

As if we needed any more evidence that your parents are both superhuman. Seriously though, I'm so relieved to hear that she's doing okay.

Yeah what is it with your cyborg parents? Living under a yellow sun gives my family superior healing powers.

How'd you manage a press pass? I'll be there with a major site for wrestling news. Hired help for my cameras/microphones essentially, and because they know I know how to handle myself backstage at a wrestling show. it's a decent little payday to go hang out with some friends less than an hour from home. I'm sure it'll change 12 times before then as it's already changed 12 times since the booking, but presently we've got interviews lined up with Jurassic Express, MJF, and Brandi Rhodes. I myself am pretty pumped that there's a good chance I finally get to meet Nick Mondo, even if I'll be working. I'd love to film an interview with him.

I've met a couple of wrestlers (I mentioned my run in with Jinder and one of the Singhs a while back), but never had any "other side of the barricade/behind the Gorilla" experiences. I was a seat filler for WWE for the Rumble in 2014 when Punk quit, but that's my extent of interaction with behind the scenes crews. I'd KILL to get in on local stuff, but I'm not THAT tech savvy so I don't know what I could do to help other than buying merch for the local scene guys and gals. That said, I know Mondo is like an idol to you. I'm legit happy for you that you may just get that chance. EDIT: To roll with the Mondo bit, did you ever get the chance to meet JC before he died? I know he mostly worked in my neck of the woods with CZW, but I'm sure he worked shows throughout the country. And I know he was another biggie with you, at least in my early days here he was anyways.
