I was talking with a friend about just a random useless fact today, have there been any matches that have happened twice or more on the same PPV but in different years (outside Wrestlemania
For example Lesnar vs Big Show rumble 03 and rumble ‘15 Or Shawn Michaels Vs Bret Hart Survivor Series 92 and 97.
There are lots for Wrestlemania, as for the other shows there would be so many matches to look through to figure it out. Any come to mind? I also wouldn’t count In your house’s really as a same brand show either, just when they started to individually name them.
Edit: Came up with Cena vs Orton summer slam ‘07 and ‘09

Demolition fought the Hart Foundation at Summerslam 88 and 90. Albeit Smash teamed with Ax at the first and Crush at the latter.
If memory serves me right Ax did get involved at SS 90 and may even have been pinned for the third fall.
Also Mankind fought the Undertaker at king of the ring 96 and 98

Not WWF but Ric Flair fought Dusty Rhodes twice at Starrcade and fought Sting twice at Starrcade.

Pretty sure CM Punk vs Ryback happened back to back at Hell in a Cell 2012 and 2013. And both guys were in reverse roles too. 2012 CM Punk (Heel) with Heyman VS Ryback (Face) 2013 Cm Punk (Face) Vs Ryback (Heel) with Heyman. It was pretty cool and something I never remember happening before.

Wow, I can't believe nobody said this one yet.... Rock vs. Austin at Wrestlemania 15, 17 and 19 I was gonna say that but read the OP’s post as being not to include Wrestlemania. You have Hogan v Andre at two Wrestlemanias as well and Taker v Michaels and Taker v Triple H. I wonder if Rock v Austin is the only time two competitors have faced each other three times at the same PPV though.

Yeah, I know, but to have two wrestlers compete against each other at 3 PPVs of the same name is very unheard of. So I had to say it. Taker vs. Triple H happened at three different Wrestlemania shows too. At 17, 27 and 28.

Not a patch on Taker/Michaels but still two very good matches.

Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker at WM 25 and 26.
Rock vs. Cena at 28 and 29.
Undertaker vs. Kane at WrestleManias 14 and 20.
Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 20 and 33.
And while it wasn't the same PPV, The first and last Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker matches both took place at the Staples Center, the first at Unforgiven 2002 and the last at Hell In A Cell 2015.

I was looking for the ones outside Wrestlemania, But that Lesnar/taker fact is pretty crazy! I wouldn’t even know where to start to see big time rematches taking place at the same venues in different years! Thanks for all the replies everyone! Would anyone know if ECW has any matches that fit into this criteria?

Would anyone know if ECW has any matches that fit into this criteria? Taz Vs Candido - Hardcore Heaven 97 & 99 Rob Van Dam Vs Jerry Lynn - Hardcore Heaven 99 & 00 There were a few times where one year it was a singles and then a tag but most of these were on supercards and not PPV because ECW didn't have PPV's at the time: Tommy Dreamer Vs Shane Douglas - Holiday Hell 93 & 96 - 93 was Singles, 96 was mixed tag with Francine and Beulah Rob Van Dam Vs Axl Rotten - House Party 96 & 99 - 96 was Singles, 99 was tag match with Sabu and Balls Mahoney Raven Vs Sandman - Cyberslam 96 & 97 - 96 was Singles, 97 was a tag match with Richards and Dreamer. Justin Incredible Vs Tommy Dreamer - Guilty as Charged 99 & 00 - 99 was a singles match, 00 was a tag match with Lance Storm and Raven.
