Just wondering, does anyone here still collect the Ruthless Aggression line?
I have just started watching all Raw/Smackdown/PPV's in order from 2002, starting with the original draft episode. I had pretty much stopped watching wrestling at this point, so it is really interesting to go back now and watch the transition from Attitude into the RA era. There were so many stars on the roster back in 2002!
I am a predominantly Mattel Elite collector, but I also like diving into other lines in order capture the main characters from a particular era (I have recently picked up almost every character from the BCA line, as I feel that this best encapsulates the 1996-99 era).
I am now thinking of starting an RA collection. The plan would be to buy MOC and open up to display (as I would ideally like the figures to be in mint condition with all accessories). It seems for the most part that these can now be picked up fairly cheaply?
Any thoughts / advice / opinions would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

I know a forum member NMC - he has hundreds of them. He was buying bundles of them loose for a few quid at one point before switching to Mattel. They still looks great but good luck to anybody trying to juggle two WWE collections!

They still looks great but good luck to anybody trying to juggle two WWE collections! Thanks for the mention š But yes, as my fellow forum member has said, before I switched to Mattel, I swore to only buy Jakks, I dedicated myself to finishing the bucket list of one version of every character they ever made. Think I still have like 50 to go, but I must be nearing the 400 mark now. I haven't bought a Jakks figure since 2014 - Demolition - bought them like a month before switching to Mattel, and never looked back. As far as advice goes, if you plan on finishing a fill character roster for RA figures, you can't go in with the mindset of only getting MOC figures, because its simply never gonna happen. Try searching for a MOC Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrack, or Highlanders! And there's some guys that, although aren't expensive at all, are extremely hard to find for sale! Johnny Stamboli comes to mind! But its definitely worth starting if you have dedication, but willpower to know it's gonna take a long, loooong time to complete! I wish all the best however! š

Yeah, I still collect them. Received an RA 2 Dreamer this week, and I'm waiting on an RA 2 Rico and a Ring Rage Eddie Guerrero.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It would be great to see any collection pics. I know a forum member NMC - he has hundreds of them. They still looks great but good luck to anybody trying to juggle two WWE collections! This is what I am struggling with at the moment. Do I dive into collecting this line, or stick to Mattels and just try to create a roster from this era (2002-2008)? I guess if I stumble across a figure that I really want at a decent price, then that will kick start the collection.

Mattel havnt represented 2002-2008 very well, sadly!

Mattel havnt represented 2002-2008 very well, sadly! Totally agree, the RA Era is seriously lacking when it comes to Mattel, but a big reason for it is due to the roster itself. The majority of the main eventers from the Era are still active, or were, when Mattel took over - Cena, Orton, HHH, Taker, Angle, Edge, Show, Kane, Jericho - so it's more or less the mid to lower card guys we're missing out on. But if you think about it, most of the RA mid carders have some sort of issue with WWE where they just can't be made, most notably Benoit, Kennedy, Lashley, and all for obvious reasons. Honestly, my advice is this - start with guys Mattel haven't made yet, like those 3 I mentioned - Don't get the Deluxe Aggression figures coz they're out of scale, and overall, have no real difference to Jakks normal "basics" shall we say. Continue to buy those you know Mattel will never, or have a slim chance, of making, and if you feel you wanna start getting guys you already own in Mattel form, go for it. That's the best advice I can give you pal - I'd send you a pic of my collection but have them all in zip seal bags, in crates! I do have a YouTube video, a pretty crappy one may I add, which you may like though. Let me know if you want a link to that video!

Finally got around to picking up a few of these. I will post pics shortly. Does anyone have any advice regarding rings? Just wondering which ring would be best to display these in. Hardcore Ring perhaps?
