Kind of surprised at the serious pic they've used for Sami... this was probably designed before his heel-turn too(!). Yeah I’m surprised at that choice as well, especially given the expression on the figure. There must be many more smiling photos of Sami around that they could’ve used that would've fit the figure. If they’ve chosen this one due to the heel turn then fine, but that makes the figure look outdated The nostalgic in me doesn't want the app base( you stood the figures up and if they couldn't stand you lean them against another figure). Put the little cartoon drawing of the action move the figure does in the corner and above it put in the faux signature. Agreed; if they insist on the App being part of the line, then I’d prefer to have the stand behind the figure so the action can be displayed as is tradition.

Glad to finally see these MOC. Wish Amazon would return the preorder or maybe I'll just be patient and wait for them to show up at Target. I'm only buying Flair, but at least Sami has a different looking mold from anything they released already.

Lol it’s a Hasbro series of it has Hasbro problems If the Hasbro figures were made when this board was around it’d be the same as a Jakks and Mattel They’re obviously releasing the series 1 & 2 guys again because they don’t have codes for the Mayhem game I really hope you're right about series 2. I would actually like to find them in stores other than that one time only-which wasn't even the full set.

They ordered literally like 10 cases per store last xmas.

I didn’t see any locally for months. I’m glad they are no longer exclusives to Walmart.

I've seen more of series 2 than I care to venture. It was like 1:10 per capita here. lol

I know in places like Texas I saw reports of them being marked down also to two dollars. So far it only looks like Sting is being released again repainted in his Wolf Pack look. Not my preference but I'll take whatever I can get lol.

I love hasbros as much as anyone, but bill not working on these anymore coupled w the stupid stands that force a price hike will be the absolute unfortunate end of these. Very few legends that make little to no sense at all like nwo savage and nwa flair with modern guys and an 80s wwf ring. None of it makes any sense.

I can't believe how poorly they have executed this line. I too love the retros, but you almost have to go out of your way to f this up as badly as they have. The retros are my favorite line, but I'm worried about the future after all of the nonsensical blunders and horrendous distribution.

I doubt the line is in any kinda of trouble. I’m in NY and these are constantly sold out, series 2 was extremely hard to find. 3 is a lot easier now but they have been available since November. They have been out for a long time. I can’t imagine this line is expensive to produce. I’m no expert on the topic but I can’t see how Mattel isn’t making a nice profit here. Mistakes have been made but all in all the line has been available for a bit over 1 year and we have a decent catalogue and are only weeks away from getting the ring. We pretty much know the whole lineup for the rest of 2018 which looks pretty good. Hopefully 2019 we start seeing more legends because the majority of the current roster will already have a figure.

Considering the entire line - series 1, 2 and 3 have been for sale in the UK at heavy clearance prices, I do worry about how well these are doing. As we've said before, the app stuff is misguided, and the selection of superstars...except series 2...has been dire. Older collectors like me don't want new guys and kids aren't really interested in weird Hasbro style figures. A shame.

Not sure where to post this, but I have two codes for the Retro Mayhem game if anyone needs them. Ambrose and Rollins.
PM me if interested.

Yeah, that's my thinking too: surely kids today will want the Basic and Elite figures over the "weird" retro-style ones - and older fans (and Hasbro collectors) would prefer mainly Legends/older guys over the current roster...

Retailers typically anticipate X percentage of an item being clearanced in their profit calculations. The markup on toys is huge, so even at a big discount stores are still often making money or breaking even. In the states there was some overkill with the series 1/series 1 revision cases, but the most recent series seems to be selling well and hasn't seen any major price plunges on Amazon. If the ring and series 4 and 5 don't do well, then there could be an issue.

He can still order series 2 and 3 no problem. Price to him is £6.50 per figure (in a mixed box) with a rrp of £10.99 for series 1/2 and £12.99 for series 3, with them costing £8.50. We were shocked how little mark up there was on them. I guess shops like Smyths get a better deal than some little shop. We got 2 boxes of series 2, they were loaded with Rock and Austin.

I'm glad Ringside finally has retro series 4 & 5 available for preorder but the fact they come out in June is kinda crazy. I found series 3 in stores in November 2017, a 7 month wait to get the next batch. I wonder if something happened like Enzo was gonna be in on the those sets and they had to switch it up? Also I've heard Mattel use the term 2nd wave of 2018 to describe series 4. When in reality Series 4 & 5 are first of 2018. I've been keeping tracking when each set releases in stores. Mattel doesn't really seem to have a firm plan in place. I'm gonna guess we will see the next batch series 6 & 7 come out anywhere from September to December and that will be a wrap on 2018. 16 total figures and of course the wrestling ring.

I don’t think they hit retail stores until 2018.
