It was announced tonight on Raw that the winner of the Triple H - Jeff Hardy match at Armageddon next week will face Randy Orton for the WWE title at the Royal Rumble in January.
The original plan was for Triple H to face Randy Orton for the WWE title as the main event for next year's WrestleMania, however those plans appear to have changed.
The plans are now for Triple H to be facing Batista for the WWE title and Edge to face the Undertaker for the World title. What appears to be most likely is for Triple H to beat Orton for the WWE title and Batista to win the Royal Rumble, and announce that he wants to face The Game for the title. Or he could win the Elimination Chamber match at the No Way Out PPV on February 17th, which is currently planned to be for a WrestleMania title shot.
As with everything in WWE, those plans could, and probably will change, several times over the next several months.
Incidentally if this is the direction that WWE decides to go, it would be the third time that Randy Orton was scheduled to face Triple H for the title in the main event of WrestleMania, only for it to be changed.

I quite like Batista/HHH matches, so I'd look forward to the match.
I'd rather have Taker win the World Title at Armageddon, Edge win the rumble & SD have the spotlight.
but looks like its going to be Raw.

Like above^^ Where would this leave Jericho?!?!? He FINALLY comes back and he goes nowhere in the title picture??
One thing though, WWE better keep Taker's streak alive!!

WTF Batista and Triple Haitch again. Thats bull, I would rather have Orton vs. HHH even though that will suck aswell. God, why the does Triple H ALWAYS have to be in the damn Main Event of Mania.... Its a ing shame that WM23 was the only WM Main Event to not have HHH since WM18... |

Why don't they have Triple H win the Title at Royal Rumble, Orton use his Rematch Clause for Wrestlemania, Batista win the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out and Ric Flair still continue his Undefeated streak, forming a Fatal Four Way Evolution WWE Championship Main Event??

Listen, I'm going to Mania. First Time. I'm really looking forword to Edge/Taker I REALLY wanna see that.
Roidtitsa in the Main Event Totaly Sucks. I really don't wanna see that.... Triple H/Orton/Jericho any combo of those will be perfect. i cant stand dave. he SUCKS more then a hoover.

And Trips is always in the main event because if the main event of Wrestlemania was, lets say..........London/Noble as it stands now, it would not sell out. Don't get me wrong they both have endless amounts of talent, but they lack "superstar quality". |

Kinda bland to see the same main event as WM21, but I'm good for it. Tista/HHH matches were good, anyways. Better then Tista vs. Khali and Orton vs. Big Daddy V, which is what WWE would likely pull.

Also, I didn't say put two people who are good wrestlers but don't Draw. Why can't HBK, Jericho, Orton, Taker, Edge, etc... be in the Main Event without Triple H, they all sell and some are way better then Triple H. |

Triple H should lose to Hardy, and then win the rumble. Then, he can win the belt at Wrestlemania. Let Batista feud with MVP or something.

On one hand, I'm not thrilled to see the same main event as WM21. On the other hand, the only times I've found Batista to be entertaining were during his feuds with Triple H and Eddie Guerrero. So it's not all bad.
But more importantly, these "news" sites are full of crapanyway.

Jericho wins the Title
Trips wins vs. Hardy
Rumble is won by Edge
Trips beats Jerihco
No Way Out-put 2 stars in frome each brand...
Raw-Kenneday, Hardy
ECW-Morrison, Miz
SD-MVP and Undertaker
And the winner gets the shot at his brands title. At Mania.....

Who ever wins the rumble picks the title match he wants, and then the reaminder 2 gets put in the chamber, and who ever wins gets the belts. The raw/ecw/sd after No way out you have a rumble with all the stars....kinda like a bootleg royal rumbe and the winner faces the winner of the chamber...

As said with alot of Rumors, I'll believe it when I see it.
But Bastista winning the Royal Rumble again is f*cking Stupid, There are way more deserving guys than him to win it.
