Are the original MegaMan games worth getting for the DS? I've only played MegaMan X (loved it, one of my all time favorites), but I've heard mixed reviews on the originals. They're available for download from the Nintendo store. Has anyone played them?

Mega Man X is also one of my favorite games of all time. I’ve beaten it more times than I can count. However, the originals are incredibly difficult/frustrating. I played Mega Man 2 (which is regarded as the best of the originals) recently on the NES Classic and got to the final stage but I couldn’t complete it. I got stuck somewhere. I’m not a smart gamer so give them a try. Probably will have more luck than me

The originals aren't bad, but it's hard to go back to them after the X series.

Depends. Like Jeff said, if you're a Mega Man fan the nostalgia is real. That being said, if you've played X, it'll feel weird and not in a good way.

I am actually not an X fan and way more a classic Mega Man fan (can't wait for 11). I'd agree with everyone else here in that if that's how you picture him they probably aren't necessary for you. But 2 is in my top 10 list for favorite games ever and I also really like 3 and 6.
Depends on what you're in the mood for!
The new ones that came out I don't think carried as much weight as the old ones but were still fun.
