I don't trust Wikipedia, was it 2003 or 2004?

I am sure it was 2004.
I think they were NWA-TNA while they ran the weekly PPV shows. I think once they hit monthly PPVs in Nov. of 2004 they were just TNA Wrestling.

2007 was when they cut ties with the NWA and introduced the first set of beautiful TNA championships.

2007 is correct. although they’d been referring to themselves as just tna for quite some time.

Off topic but seeing that video, Bryan Danielson getting hurt in the NWA Title tournament was the 2nd biggest blow to the NWA of all time. I legit thought they had a chance to bring some life back into the NWA and make it at least a household Indy name. Instead they stick the title on Adam Pearce, who lets be honest, a casual fan has no clue who he is and thus completely stopped caring and the NWA again faded into oblivion.
