Moments ago two huge announcements were made at the SmackDown tapings in Reading, PA.
First Theodore Long came out and announced that World Heavyweight Champion Edge will defend his title against Rey Mysterio at No Way Out.
He then announced a SmackDown Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out for a title shot at WrestleMania XXIV. The competitors are revealed as Batista, Undertaker, MVP, Finlay, The Great Khali, and Big Daddy V.

There goes the hope for Edge/Punk at Mania. I'm guessing it will be Edge/Taker, which also throws HBK/Taker out the window.

This throws out so many of the matches I wanted for Wrestlemania.
I am probably getting No Way Out and not mania lol. Orton/Cena and Edge/Mysterio will both me good matches, and two chambers will be entertaining.

Anyone think they'll merge the two and have like 3 from each show get in or something? Like have qualifying matches between the 6 from each show, and the three winners from each show get in the EC, because two Elimination Chambers sounds weird, but hey, I'm all for it.

They might do but i would prefer having two chamber matches tbh.
NWO looks bloody brilliant now.

Thanks for the spoilers dick.
Anyways this guarantees Taker vs. Edge at Wrestlemania as none of the other 5 have a prayer of winning the Chamber. Ughhhhhhhhhhh.

Why Theodore Long anounced this if Vickie is the Genral Manager? Vickie got " injured" by Rey. 2 EC's is VERY Interesting. NWO looks AMAZING.

Why not just make it 3 and put an ECW EC match as well. CM Punk, Miz, Morrison, BDV, Dreamer and Burke. 6 men.....all battling for a shot at Chavo's title.

This should be the best PPV gimmick-wise since Armageddon 2006, which had a Last Ride match, an Inferno Match, and a 4 way tag Ladder match.
