I didn't expect this to show up today but to my surprise, when i got home from work there it was.
Even though V1 Matt is probably my least favourite era of Matt, i still had to get this Elite not only because it's a great figure, but because i'm collecting every Matt/Jeff Elite that comes out. The box for this series is nice with the orange and blue and Matt looks great posed in there. I don't know what it is about this body mold but every Matt figure that's used it as well as E57 Jeff, it has no articulation issues at all, nothing is too stiff or too loose. Matt looks great, the face looks good even though i feel it's the weakest out of all Matt's headscans so far, the pants look great and the V1 on his wrist tape is also done well, the shirts look good and fit well on him too.
The hands had me concerned as i was hoping they wouldn't be painfully hard to get in/out with the fear of snapping, but they actually go in/out really easy and feel durable when doing so. The only thing i noticed is with his left hand, once i replaced it, it became a little looser but nothing too bad. All the different hands look good to pose with and they're great accessories to include with future figures.
Had to toe, this Matt figure is great and the extra hands make it even better, personally while i think his recent releases in the Epic Moments and Elite 58 are better, this is still a great Matt figure and i'm hoping we get a 2003 era Jeff soon to kind of match this era for Matt.
The only issues i saw with this figure were with the head and one of his V1 hands. His head sits a little high but with a shirt on it's not that noticeable, his ponytail feels pretty weak and that it'll snap off with the slightest pull, which with enough play, he'll probably end up like a lot of old Jakks figures with ponytails where they're snap off and you'll just have someone with slicked back hair. and the last issue isn't really about the figure itself but more of the one i got, the V1 hand that was separate in the box was a bit crammed in there which resulted in one of the fingers being a bit warped, with enough time and something pushing it back, it would probably go back to normal but thankfully that hand wasn't the one i wanted to pose him in so it's fine.
Here's a pic of Matt with the rest of my Hardy collection (minus Shop Exclusive Matt and another E57 Jeff which are in my 06/07 Collection) He fits well there and now i just need am 03 Jeff to go on his side and make it even again.
Thanks for looking.
