MLB Regular Season Thread - May

it's amazing how much ozzie, hawk harrellson, whoever the other announcer is because his name escapes me, and especially white sox fans, buy so much into these cross town series rivalries... i don't think piniella could give two ****s about them from his comments. and i know i stopped caring about the cross town series as if it was anything more than a normal game a long time ago. i didnt even watch a single one of the 3 games this time around. maybe that's more so because i've been busy, but alas.

but seriously... white sox fans, you won your world championship 2 years ago, why do you all hold this jelousy against the cubs still?

because our fans are still selling out wrigley while 2 years later no one still goes to the cell?

because our management isn't ran by douchebags like kenny williams and ozzie guillen, who run their mouths at any opportunity and/or stab people in the back?

or is it just because you'd rather focus on beating the cubs now than the indians and tigers later, because come september you know one of the two are going to be in first place with your team chasing the wildcard and/or 3rd in that division?

go ahead and come back with a 1908 comment, or a "cubs spend all of this money and still suck" rebuttle... but atleast the majority of the cubs fans, atleast the intelligent ones i know, focus on the cubs and not the white sox.

briguy and other sox fans that i've seen on this board, and other sox fans i know constantly take shots at the cubs, and all the while quite honestly, the white sox team as a whole isn't much better off if any this year.

didn't mean to go on this long rant over a simple comment, and this isn't directly solely at you either nash. but it's something i constantly notice about sox fans... they can't let the cubs/sox rivalry **** rest. atleast cardinals fans are respectful and knowledgeable most of the time. I don't think i've ever met a sox fan who doesn't hold some absurd bias against the cubs and doesn't get all hyped up IN YOUR FACE over beating the cubs whenenver they happen to.

I try to stay as nuetral as I can without cheering for the white sox. do I hate some of their management? yeah, i think ozzie a ing idiot, and kenny williams is a dumbass. do I hate their fans? you betcha, reasons above.

but they have some players I like, and when they won the world series for the good of the city I even tried to get into it... but the fans just ruin any chance of that happening. I cannot stand Ozzie, and I cannot stand Sox fans.
