had an awesome time at the game tongiht even if the boys didnt win. i was with 3 other freinds, 2 met and one yankee fan. we were sitting in front of some obnoxiously drunk mets fan who was just making fun of everybody, guy was ing hilarious, and we were pretty much right behind him in whatever he said, at that point the game was a washout. some woman brought her laptop to the game for whatever reason...man, she got it good from all of us, but especially him. he was telling her to hit up steakncheese.com real fast, haha. oh, and before the game, i got a summons for urinating in public, when i was in fact just standing there, minding my own buisness with my dick in pants, while a few feet away my freind pissed on a tree. how about that? it's all good though, but leave it to some bastard cops to give us seperate court dates to haul ass to queens for NO REASON. Was the guy Spanish and was he sitting in the upper deck( kind of broad..but yeah)? If so, I'm pretty sure I've seen that guy before. That dude's hilarious the way he puts EVERYBODY down. The Cubs sent me some $2 " BELIEVE" bracelet today, along with some pencils, stickers, and other random crap. Not too bad for free..

Yeah I know man, that comment wasn't meant to be dead serious anyways. And I'm not the biggest Ozzie fan either. Most of the time the decesions he makes are assine and completely stupid. I guess you really see the other side of the fans when your not one of them. I try not to get too excited about the Crosstown Classic either, I just get tired of Cubs fans saying "This is our year" every single year. Plus the cub fans (and asia) that say that WS was a fluke. I guess those are some reasons why I may sound like I'm over reacting, but yes obviously the Indians, Tigers, and Twins are much more important to me than the Cubs. I don't think it was a fluke. I think they had a very good team. Do I think they caught a little lightening in a bottle? Of course I do. But every team has to. Last year the Tigers did, as did the Cardinals. Every year someone does, and sometimes the teams that do win it or make the World Series. Hell, the 2003 Cubs completely caught lightening in a bottle. Now a days almost every world series team catches a little lightening in a bottle.. White Sox assembled a very good squad, and they got career (Contreras, Garland) & healthy (Pods) years out of a lot of players... and caught some lightening in a bottle. Does that make it a fluke though? No. But at the same time, I don't think they're a team built to be that good down the road, and I think they see/saw that too by dealing away Garcia, not jumping on trading McCarthy for Soriano when they had the chance, probably letting Buerhle and Dye walk this year, etc... I just don't think they're a franchise type of team with their management and their current bunch of players. Not to mention that's a very nice young division. I think they're going to dismantle that team slowly but surely, as they already have started... I dunno, just my view on it. Only thing that baffled me was the Vasquez signing, which always brings it backwards. I also have a theory if they miss out on the playoffs this year, Ozzie could be canned. No real insight on it or anything on any of this, just thoughts without any information behind them...

Hard to talk like this in May, but this was a huge win tonight... I have to agree. Wang didn't even have his best stuff last night, but he was able to grind through it. Maybe this offense is finally finding its stroke and can get something going. There's absolutely no reason this team shouldn't win tonight. You have Jullian Tavarez on the mound, who the Yankees should absolutely destroy going against Mussina who always pitches decently against Boston. If this team ends up letting Tavarez last 5 IP, 3 ER or something I'm going to be pissed off because this is the PERFECT opportunity to take 2 games against Boston with a chance for a sweep tomorrow.

Finally the Yanks have come back to the MLB!! They are back and ready to move on the Red Sox. They may have started slow but they will finish fast. Look out MLB The Yanks are coming. Too much talent to stay down all season. Plenty of time to come back and win it all.

Mussina has to get his act together, and now. He was my favorite pitcher for a while, but he always folds under pressure. Its almost like he doesn't want to be a veteran leader or a staff ace. When you reach the age and stature he has, you have to take on that role and come up big every now and then. Enough of the excuses from him, its always "he's hurt" "he's old" "he's a creature of habit" "he doesn't pitch well on long rest" "he doesn't pitch well on short rest"... take the ing ball and pitch. That is kind of why I respected Randy Johnson. The media, especially that ditz Kim Jones always tried to make excuses "were you hurt, is that why you didn't pitch well?" and he never made excuses. Mussina is a big part of this rotation, and he is going to have to start stringing together some quality starts.

They are back after winning 2 games in a row lol Nah, but you gotta start somewhere. Its going to take a big streak, and a little luck(boston losing) to get back into the race, but its not impossible. Once the pitching staff gets together(Wang, Pettitte, Mussina, Clemens, and Hughes), and Rivera gets his craptogether, and Cano and Abreu start hitting a little bit, things are going to get better.

How do you expect a winning streak to start? You've gotta start somewhere...2 wins is better than 2 losses. No one is saying they're going to go 20-0, but every win counts.

Mussina is seriously such a douche...I really wish we had a better alternative to go with in our rotation. I wasn't expecting him to put up nearly as good of the numbers he put up last year, but throwing 88 MPH fastballs right down the middle of the plate with absolutely no movement on them is just ridiculous.

Angels interested in Giambi Tuesday, May 22, 2007 11:45 am EDT
Getty Images MLB isn't the only outfit interested in the New York Yankees' Jason Giambi.
According to a person with knowledge of the Los Angeles Angels' thinking, the AL West leaders have an interest in acquiring the Yankees' DH to bolster a lineup that is last in the league in home runs.
The Angels' interest in Giambi, who was in a 1-for-26 slump and batting .268 going into last night's game, was before the recent controversy surfaced.

I'd love to have Sal Fasano and his .179 batting average over that scrub Wil Nieves.
