5-7 because of the jumpers. I hate that feature yet all the wrestlers I would buy because I collect all that wrestlers figure are jumpers.

About a 6 or 7. I was a huge WWF Hasbro fan so that only reason I collect the new one is because of nostalgia.

5-7
I love the idea and was super excited at first, but whoever is in charge of lineups and attire choices for this line has made so many questionable decisions that I've nearly lost interest. The fact that there hasn't even been a Diesel proto shown is head-scratching.

I think SDCC will be the make-or-break moment for the series. If we see or hear a bunch of surprises, this line can continue on and hopefully be successful. If we get a ton of repeated molds, repaints, no accessories/playsets, and few if any names from the past....well, then I don't expect the line to last much longer.
All of that said, I think it is near perfect minus the complaints echoes throughout this entire thread.

Bill and the MDT really frustrate me. They nailed this line for the first 2 series and then they incoporate that silly app which ruined the aesthetics of the packaging not to mention increased the price along with the stupid stands and have added too many modern guys. This is a retro line after all and should be kept for old school guys. Bill deserves alot of criticiscm just like he does for that stupid entrance greats line that costs a bomb because of that stupid display base. The guy needs a wake up call. He has really annoyed me the last year or so with the decisions hes making. Bill was involved in the first two series, then it was passed on. Bill only deals with elites and exclusives now. Pass the criticism onto someone else.

Is give it an 8. I love the legends that never made it in the Hasbro line. I do wish they could release some wrestlers from the unreleased orange card set.

"5-7"...They look great, enough to be a 7...but the jumpers bring them down as always...and nothing will really ever come close to the 9-10 worthy old school ones....

I love the line. I was one of those Hasbro kids and when I saw Mattel start this line I loved it. I only gave it a 5-7 because one I sense they are soooooooooooo many jumper action figures. I wish for a few of the figures they change it. I wish Triple H and D-Bryan weren't jumpers. I also wish they made more Attitude Era guys. I remember just as the Attitude Era was starting WWF/WWE went from Hasbro to Jakks and I feel like we missed out on amazing bunch of figures. The first few series were awesome as it was half flashback half current stars, now it seems like it is just current stars. And the last reason I'm giving it a 5-7 is that ok I am cool with getting another Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns, but like Mattel I wish they would give them both different action in the second release of the figures. Like Hogan, Macho Man, Warrior and a few others had different actions with different figures.

All of that said, I think it is near perfect minus the complaints echoes throughout this entire thread. Great thoughts. Others have stated similarly. I will admit there looks like some more variety in molds at least in these next few sets. S3 was the worst. Whoever is deciding lineups and attires, needs to think about the target audience for these. I agree, that I doubt many kids are going to just start buying these instead of the established lines. I would think it would mainly be older fans/collectors who had Hasbros as kids, buying them for adult collections and/or for their kids to play with. So I think more focus on legends is a must. Espeically Hasbro era (late 80's-mid 90's) and to a still big, but lesser extent Attitude Era, and WCW. And to the lowest extent sprinkle in the big names from the current roster.

I gave it an 8 but its pretty close to a 9. Overall Mattel has done a very nice job. I'm just hoping for more legends in 2019. We need Diesel.

I've enjoyed my time collecting the Retro figures. The execution has not been perfect, but I think Mattel has shown themselves capable of great things, albeit sporadically. It had to have taken a lot of convincing to get the line to where it is now, and for that I'm grateful because a one-and-done would have left so many more people disappointed. I can live with the few Legends figures and the price increase, not to mention the irregular release schedule of 2018, if the alternative is nothing at this scale. I want to see it succeed so I'll support it as long as I feel there are redeeming qualities to the line. I voted 5-7, but I would feel much more comfortable giving them a 7.5 out of 10.

I gave up on it when they added the needless app feature causing the price to go up to $15. $10 was the ideal price point for these figures. They're $15 now???

They're still 13 at Target, don't know if they're at TRU or Walmart, haven't really heard of them showing up any major place besides Target.

Different molds, add accessories, decrease the price point, add variety between classic and modern. This line should be an alternative to the basic and elite lines, but it's not panning out that way.
