What score would you give the new WWE Retro line? I have added a poll please vote. Bearing in mind WWF Hasbro figures would class as a 10/10, I thought I’d go a long them lines.

I would give the line a 7. I thought series 1 and 2 were great, but the line has lost points for how slow the releases are and the inclusion of that little app thing which spoils the aesthetic of the packaging and also has caused the price to increase.

4/10, series 2 was tight, Flair and Taker look good, but I don't think it's going in a good direction, too many new guys and not so many old ones for the people that this line should be appealing to, like they should be offering characters that enrich people's Hasbro collections, like Surfer Sting, Diesel, Mabel, short hair Rick Rude, USA Luger, etc..

Probably around a 5 or 6... it started off great, but from Series 3 it seems to have taken a bit of a nosedive: the app thing, the price increase, nearly all modern guys (even a modern Goldberg)... I mean, the line by its very nature will appeal mainly to older fans and Hasbro collectors, so the choice to make it mostly current guys just seems baffling (...will kids really want these over regular Basic and Elite figures?).

I never collected the old Hasbros and haven't bought any of the current retro version but I do like them. A solid 7 out of 10 from me.

7. Too many repeats in the later waves. Would of rather had accessories like small belts and chairs instead of stands. Too many jumpers.

Probably a 4 for me. It started out promising, Undertaker was great, looked like he could have fit into the orange cards or black cards following the green card Hasbro set. Warrior was ok, but dissapointing. S2 was good, but still not really the era I want, but way better than current guys. And then it takes a nose dive. Almost all modern roster and too many repeated molds especially the jumper.
I also hate how besides jumpers and macho king punch guys, they all have the really far spread legs and arms. They look odd, like they're walking into a saloon or something weird.
Hate the addition of the stands and increased price. Cardbacks are also bland and flimsy.
I'll get happy with the line if they make better sculpt and lineup choices. Where is Deisel, USA Luger, Heel Jake, Short Hair Rude, Hart Foundation, etc. Throw us at least a few bones here and there.

Thanks for voting. It looks like the line is becoming a flop. I’m fed up with the same body mounds being reused. I do think the line is lazy and I wouldn’t be disappointed if the line ended. There’s is nothing retro about it. Crap

I still don't want it to end kev, despite it being a huge disappointment at the moment. I really hope it turns around after these next few waves that we've seen.

I’d give it about a 6 - I absolutely love that the line exists at all, and it’s the only Mattel line that I will collect because however good the Elites or whatever are, they are not my generation and I’m not going to start collecting them now. But appeal to my Hasbro obsession and you’ve got a loyal customer for as long as the Retro line goes on. It started as a solid 9 from me with the first two series, but it’s dropped to a 6 because of how they are developing the line - as others have said: dropping down to 4 figures a series, having such a huge delay between series 3 and 4, forcing the App on us, some lazy designs, etc., are all negatives, and makes me concerned that the line will soon die and Mattel won’t be getting anymore of my money since it’s all I’m interested in. Drnickriviera995 has also absolutely nailed the issue with the appearance of some of the figures - the “walking into a saloon” analogy is perfect to explain the issue with that I hope the line continues for a long time, hopefully with the issues we have with them resolved going forward, but even if not then I prefer a world where the line exists to one without it, so I remain hopeful.

I gave up on it when they added the needless app feature causing the price to go up to $15. $10 was the ideal price point for these figures.

The fact we have figures based on the Hasbro style all these years later is a dream come true for me, literally. I get the criticisms. The base & the app? Needless. Lots of the same mold, a bit annoying, especially since it was one of the least favoured mold of the old series. Not as many legends as we’d hoped.
But if you’re a Hasbro fan, you’ve gotta look at the miracle of these even existing. In the late 90s I found a little stall in an indoor market that sold Hasbros I didn’t even know existed (eg 1-2-3 kid) and Hasbro I had never seen in the flesh before (Skinner, Giant Gonzalez), and I wondered if the line was still going, just not in the shops anymore. Then I saw Beyond the Mat and there was a quick shot of some Hasbro style figures of Mankind. Little did I know they were customs. Then I found out the line had in fact stopped and that was the end. I’d never have a Stone Cold, a Rock, a Sting, a Kane in Hasbro form.
20 years later I have them. This line has potential to be great. I get there’s a lull and you can’t please everyone with the choices of what wrestler, outfit, pose etc. But I’m giving them a 9. They aren’t Hasbro, and hasbros are a 10, but I think even at their worst they’re a 9 for merely existing.
Now if we got a Diesel... 9.9!

Bill and the MDT really frustrate me. They nailed this line for the first 2 series and then they incoporate that silly app which ruined the aesthetics of the packaging not to mention increased the price along with the stupid stands and have added too many modern guys. This is a retro line after all and should be kept for old school guys. Bill deserves alot of criticiscm just like he does for that stupid entrance greats line that costs a bomb because of that stupid display base. The guy needs a wake up call. He has really annoyed me the last year or so with the decisions hes making.

I went with 5-7, I think it started out at a 7 or 8, but the last few series I would rate as a 3 or 4. I agree that the addition of the app was pointless, would much rather have an accessory to go with the figure than that. Stevehulk brought up a good point, now with the app raising the price of these figures to pretty much what it cost to buy a regular basic figure, what kid would want these over the basics which have more detail and articulation. I want them because they remind me of the figures I had/still have when I was young, but to a kid today they probably are not that interesting. I agree with others who say that they are missing the mark on which era to go with. I don't mind the newer guys because I don't purchase them, and I get they are making them to hopefully increase sales which in turn would make the line last longer, but they need to add guys from the Hasbro era (1990-1994, really 1989 to 1995/6, they started designing the figures in 1989 and you could still get some of the figure in stores as late as 1995/96). I thought six figures was the perfect number for each wave, you could easily do 4 of todays stars with 2 legends in each wave. They really need to start thinking of new molds, or at least varying the molds they have now. If you look at the first 4/5 waves of the Hasbro's, even though they had multiple figures that used the clothesline (Macho King, Valentine, Crush, Neidhart) or press slam (Hogan 1, Warrior 2, Ax, Bulldog, Warlord) or jumper action (Marty, Shawn, Snuka, Dragon, Koko), the molding of the arms/legs/torso for each was different (Macho King was different than Greg Valentine who was different than Jim Neidhart). Definitely need to see more guys from the late 80s to the mid 90s, especially guys who weren't made like Diesel, USA Lex Luger, Hart Foundation, Rhythm and Blues, Heel Jake, a better Ravishing Rick Rude, Powers of Pain, Barbarian, Haku, a long tights Macho King, Tugboat, a Mega Maniacs Brutus the Barber, etc.

I went with 5-7. The first couple of series were awesome, but the app makes it stray too far from Hasbro style packaging for me, and makes it seem less for retro collectors and more for kids.
I was really hoping this line would fill in some holes for the Hasbro line (Diesel, etc.), but there has been too much emphasis on the current roster and not enough of that. I feel like the Legends spots so far have mostly been a waste. No one needed a Warrior and Taker that were worse versions of the ones Hasbro already did, and Sting and Savage aren't particularly the versions that Hasbro collectors would want.

So collectors/customers have had a chance to give feedback. I can’t see Mattel listening but if you want to make it good, listen. 1. drop the app 2. Add old school wrestlers 3. Add accessories 4. Change moulds.
At least listen Mattel.

I don't really like them. They're not as good as hasbros. They get a 3.

I have Sting, Rollins and AJ Styles. So they get a 6 from me for the time being. However, I don't have Diesel and we're seemingly getting HBK in chaps, which is ridiculous. Plus, we're already getting repeats of guys like Owens and Taker, who sat the first time around.
They definitely aren't as good as the original figures but it's great that we have figures in this style. I can't stress to you enough though that if we never get a Diesel, it's a zero from me. 0. The line is a total failure without that figure for me. Seriously, if they put out a Diesel on an orange card I'll give them a 10. I do wish they would use less of the jumper mold and trash that Cena/Warrior mold.
I'm going to be totally honest and say I have zero doubt this line ends up canceled. Adults are buying them but they continue to aim them more at current era fans/kids. You're either an adult collector or an adult buying them for your kid because you had them as a kid. That's it. So Mattel is making the exact same thing here as they did with stuff like Rumblers, and Flexforce, and all of the other stupid sh*t they've done that didn't sell. Hopefully the collector market can support these figures entirely on nostalgia, because that's how it's going so far.

If they had the cartoony look with exaggerated comic build like the Hasbros did then I’d give it a 10.
But unfortunately they look plain and the heads look like it’s been head swapped with those from the regular line.
The Hasbros had a unique look to them, these don’t
