I think its Ken shamrock, closely followed by Randy Couture and chuck Liddell. Ken shamrock was the most dominate man in fighting right until he left for the WWF, when he returned he was a shell of his former self but in his prime he was the man.

Fedor Emelianenko. Without question. Yep. You can't argue with his record... one loss that was a stoppage due to a cut seven years ago.

There was no decision, it had to happen. It was a tourney, had to be a winner. Fedor is undefeated. Simple as that. But the past few years, he hasn't been fighting top competion and now it looks like he's going to Bodog. If Shogun goes on a streak in the UFC, he'll be the best P4P in the world. Fedor is a bad, bad dude and he's definitely the best P4P as of now.. But until he fights top competition on a consistent basis, I don't see him holding that rank too long.

I think Fedor not fighting top competition has more to do with the top competition not existing. He has beaten the hell out of all of the top PRIDE heavyweights.

From what I've seen, I say Tito Ortiz. Of course, some people are going to get pissed off at me for saying that.

Yeah, he has beaten all of them, but like, a couple of years ago. His last few fights have been against cans. (Well, Lindland isn't normally a can, but at HW he is.) I'd love to see him come to the UFC and fight Couture, Gonzaga, Cro Cop again, hopefully Barnett, Big Nog again, Sylvia, and AA rather than no-names in Bodog.

Agreed, but I can't blame him if he's getting a better deal from BODOG. BODOG is in very secure financial hands right now, so I think he's making a good decision until the UFC makes him a better offer.

I personally don't understand why UFC isn't willing to shell out the big bucks for Fedor. We're talking about the GOAT here. You have to be willing to do anything possible to get him into the ring.

His wins in pancrase are greta not to mention his UFC tournament win. He is a legend. I mean people laugh because he became a pro wrestler.... who cares? prior to that he was the man, now he is not but back in the early to mid nineties he was numero uno.

I'm not laughing at Shamrock because he's a good fighter, but the best MMA fighter ever? Not even close. Top five? Not even close. He's a good fighter but nowhere near the top. So what he won a UFC tourney? Dan Severn won a couple, too and I don't think that anyone would consider him one of the best fighters ever.. Well, you might if your parents dropped you on your head when you were little. Taking a look at his stats, in the last 10 years he lost 7 out of 10 fights. All of his older UFC wins came when the company wasn't as skilled. He's just not one of the best. Period.
