What's with all this talk of DLC codes being on receipts? They've always been inside my game box on a piece of card, every year. I apologise for not helping, but I'm just puzzled as to why it's different for the rest of you. Is that just how they do it in America? Preorder code for the preorder bonus wrestlers from past years such as Hogan, Sting, Terminator, Angle, etc all had the preorder code printed on the receipt. Well that's odd to me, because every single pre-order bonus you've mentioned has been on a piece of card or paper inside the game box when I pre-ordered it. I don't know if it's the fact that I've always bought mine online for delivery, or because of the fact that I'm in the UK, but either way, it's interesting to learn that some of you get your pre-order bonuses differently. Apparently Roddy Piper is said to be playable in 2K19, according to the same guy who leaked that Mysterio and Rousey would be pre-order bonuses, before they were officially announced: So that's great news, if it turns out to be true.

People who preordered the game were pissed because the codes in the box were the same ones if you had bought it on the shelf without preordering.

I've never pre-ordered a WWE game, usually bought it some time after release but I've always had the pre-order codes slip inside the box. I’m in this boat. If there is a Daniel Bryan showcase, I’ll change my mind and actually pick this up. Or any quality showcase for that matter.

I have never gotten the special preorder bonus content code inside the game box. It’s always been printed on the store receipt.

For me it has always been inside the box. For 2k18, the season pass, Kurt Angle and the Cena Evd and Batista were all inside showing a code on the back with pictures on the front

My pre-order codes have always been emailed to me or printed on the receipt when I pick the game up.

I believe as of 2K16 the pre-order bonuses have been included on the receipt for me. But I remember they always use to be on a card inside the box up until then. Funny to hear that it varies in different regions. Could be a retailer driven thing for whatever reason.

If it is packed inside the game box what is stopping someone using the code who didn’t preorder it? And if 2k does ship two versions of the games out how do the stores know which games boxes have the preorder codes in them and which doesn’t?

I think there only packed inside the game unless you preorder, My Eb Games (Gamestop) gets separate shipments for the ones who preorder and then they get a separate order at the same time of just regular copies. They also will sell you the original games with the pre order codes inside if someone cancels their pre order

I really hope we get some new feud settings in Universe mode.
We should be able to have feuds featuring managers, or triple threat, or 4 way feuds.
The mode is starting to feel REALLY limited to me.

I want Hogan added to this game so freakin' bad. If he doesn't make it into 2k19 he's a lock for 2k20 if he can keep out of trouble for a year....but I'd be happy at this point if they just put the same damn characters from 2k15 in. It's better than CAW's even though they gave 1984 Hogan a 61 year old face scan....but I just want him officially back in and they can add improved characters into 2k20.
Hopefully he makes it in. I don't think Vince woke up yesterday and just decided to bring Hogan back on a whim. This was probably, hopefully, something that has been in the works for a while and just like last year when Lars Sullivan was announced as DLC and everyone was like WHO? WHY? It was because WWE had plans for him and gave 2k advanced notice and instructions to add him. Hopefully WWE told 2k Hogan was coming back and instructed he be in the game. It would suck to have to wait another entire year to get Hogan back in the game.

My biggest want is bring back superstar threads, so I can at least change colors on the same attire and not take up a CAW spot and my biggest want is to increase the CAW slots to 150 or 200 that way if I want to change the attire and add CAWs I have have more freedom to do so. I fill out 100 plus CAWs every year.

SO MUCH space. haha. I feel like they should give us 100 Alternate Attire Slots for in-game models, and 100 for original CAWs (including at least 2 slots for attires each) On a side note, I really hope they could fix the interactive hoods/hats in order to allow for color changes. Oh and the belt glitch where the title floats around the jackets and stuff on alternate attires/CAWS.

If you made AJ's hood yellow and put stars all over it, the actual object and it's animation would still be the default black hood regardless so they simply disable it if you use an edited version of Styles or any other example. The title not being underneath Jackets needs to and can be fixed though. It even worked in 2K18 originally but one of the earlier patches broke it and it was oddly never fixed.

Never knew that bit about the objects. Neat. Thanks for that info. In that case, I propose they at least make a version of AJ's vest selectable with the hood "down". Cena's hat I don't mind as much. Undertaker's entrance just cuts out before he removes the hat (which works for me). Nothing else is really jumping out at me at the moment.

I remeber we got it revealed for 2k18 late July, so maybe this week or next If they're following the exact same day for information drops this year for 2K19 as they did last year for 2K18, and so far they have been, we should get the Collector's Edition reveal this Thursday. They released the cover star and pre-order bonus on the exact same day this year as they did last year.

"GamesIndustry.biz are reporting that 2K Games plan to "expand and grow their portfolio", and this means the developer's WWE series will become an even bigger priority than before. That's great news for anybody who believes the WWE 2K franchise has become little more than a hollow annual update, one devoid of any significant change that relies on a tired gameplay engine. 2K Games President David Ismailer specifically name checked the WWE IP as one 2K are keen to take to a higher level, and he said that 2K were "stepping up investment" in the series overall. That, theoretically, means the company are ready to stop rehashing that aforementioned engine, come up with something new and give pro wrestling games a fresh feel for the first time in almost two decades. The fact WWE 2K18 had similar, creaking graphical elements and animations to the very first SmackDown title (released way back in 2000) is not good, and it's expected that 2K19 will follow suit. If Ismailer's words ring true, then we could be getting a very different WWE game come next year's 2K20. Anyone who has followed the series since its infancy will agree that it's about time." whatculture.com/gaming/wwe-2k-franchise-set-for-overhaul-2
