I'm just saying, at the head is horrible.
Just think of if it hit him and he was on the ground not moving. I just hate to see at the head, even if it's Barry Bonds on the heels of the record.
It's alright Lorenzo you love RVD and ECW so you are ok with me as long as you don't call out me and my sister like Ralpho did last night.

I hate YES' Ultimate Road Trip, mainly because the cast always consists of 4 douchebags and 2 hot chicks. Believe it or not, I don't watch anything on YES outside of Yankees games, the documentaries (Yakeeography, etc.), and occassionally CenterStage if the guest on it is worth watching.
After I saw the postgame, I don't think Proctor meant to throw at Youkillis. When he threw at someone earlier in the year, he pretty much admitted that he did it on purpose. I can't see why he'd tell the truth about one incident and lie about the other.
I don't think anything happens in the rest of the series, anyway. There won't be any relaliation or bench-clearing fight like some people may think. The Yankees have enough motivation to win these games...the Red Sox would be stupid to throw at A-Rod or Jeter just to try and prove a point, and the Yankees are obviously not going to do anything.

We would make that show actually good. I'd have to hold Lorenzo back from typing in CAPS at some Red Sox fan and then watch him bowl a 300 game for some good tickets.

Someone please explain why Todd Jones is still a major league closer, let alone the closer of a team with championship aspirations this season.
Leyland is a great manager but he makes some real boneheaded decisions.

CUBS PLAYERS FIGHTING USING BAGS OF MONEY FOR SOCK EM BOPPERS yeah says the fan of the team that gave into Clemens demands for 2 years, paid Pettitte a boatload of cash alongside him, had Jeff Bagwell locked up in a huge deal, and just gave Carlos Lee a monster deal as well. Not to mention had offered Beltran an 84 mil+ deal whenenver he signed with the Mets that one offseason, and that isn't really a cheap offer in itself. You really need to get off of the Cubs $ thing. It's not like the Astros are the goddamn Marlins..

Tal's Hill is also filled with millions of Nolan Ryan commemorative plates.
29.99 (or 4 easy installments of 7.49) for each of those. That's a lot of money.

Not to mention Clemens and Bagwell until the 2005 season helped the Astros unlike the $200 Million dollar cubs who aren't any better as far as the standings go then the cheaper versions over the years. So what's your point? Unless the Cubbies win the W.S. This season I won't be the only one on about this, try everyone in chicago. And Krush is correct about the hill, Berkman has fallen a few times. Sexy 8-1 loss today

Why did Garner take out Oswalt after only 94 pitches? The Cardinals have NEVER been able to hit him, and he was dominating them like usual...and the Astros bullpen is pitiful.

Sexy 8-1 loss today ummm, am I missing something? How the HELL are we 100 mil in payroll over your club when our payroll doesn't even exceed 100 million this year? I'm completely baffled with that statement. 200 million dollar Cubs? what? Try 99 million. About on the nose. So you're completely off there. The Astros are about 10 million behind the Cubs in terms of money on the books for this year. 10 million. Not 100... subtract the last 0. If you want to take things into effect for the upcoming years or if that's what you're doing right now, keep in mind that a bunch of players are coming off the books for the Cubs (Izturis' 5 mil, whatever Barrett's making unless we resign him... more than likely Mark Prior's 4 million or it will atleast be reduced to a minor league contract, so on and so forth) so it's not like the Cubs payroll is going to just rise randomly. We'll probably be players in the free agent market again, especially if our season is a total bomb and a new owner is brought in (unless we decide to just clean house, but with Piniella here for the long run I doubt that happens), but I really doubt our payroll exceeds 105 million next year, barring some major changes. I'd actually expect it to drop if anything. The tribune being sold is going to play a big role in whatever money we spend depending on the timetable of its sale (which I admittedly am clueless to at this time). I haven't followed the tribunes sale of the Cubs recently or where it's at, so I'm unsure how close or how far exactly it is. But if it's a big roadblock this fall/winter, it wouldn't suprise me to see some chips sold off and/or a guy like Zambrano just walk.

My mistake on the payroll thing, must have misread or such. I expect out payroll to increase and hopefully on worthwhole aquisitions since we have the Clemens/Bagwell money.

My mistake on the payroll thing, must have misread or such. I expect out payroll to increase and hopefully on worthwhole aquisitions since we have the Clemens/Bagwell money. As much as he's been terrible (and I mean terrible), the Cubs #1 priority period needs to be resigning Zambrano. Do it now, while he may be a little cheaper even. He'll be worth more than anyone they picked up over the offseason. Honestly, as far as the offseasn goes, I'd like a bonafied closer, and more bullpen help. I'd say more firepower in the lineup, but when you've got Alfonso Soriano, Derrek Lee, and Aramis Ramirez in there, you should be ok. There's just something not right going on. Theriot should be their leadoff hitter in my eyes, but Soriano seemingly can't hit out of the 1 spot. So that screws that equation up. I'd try Murton in the 2-hole. Murton's being misused so badly it's not even funny... either send him down, trade him, or let him play. Angel Pagan? Come on. I understand riding a hot hand, but he has no future as a big league starter. Jacque Jones isn't much better at this point either. Then I'd bat Soriano 3, Lee 4, Aramis 5... Barrett 6, Derosa 7, Jones 8, pitcher. I think it'd score more runs than our current lineup atleast. Again, I'm not expert, and for whatever reason Soriano can't hit out of the leadoff spot... so it's all null and void. A 1-2-3 of Zambrano, Lilly & Hill is pretty solid for the NL, if Zambrano gets his head on atleast. Sean Marshall has looked really solid at times over the past year and a half, and I think once he matures a little more and if he can get a fair opportunity he could be a nice #3-4 in time. Maybe even a 2 eventually. He has the stuff. For now if they'll just give up on converting Dempster into a starter, Marshall is fine as the 5th starter. Marquis is a servicable 4 or 5, but not much more. I knew he was pitching in over his head, which made it all the funnier, but I still think it's reasonable for him to have an era around 4.00 or so if he can keep his focus for most of the season. The bullpen is a giant mess. Nothing I can say about them that's positive, except Dempster needs to stay in the closers role as he's been fine, and Marmol is alright. Eyre needs to be demoted to mopup though, and Cotts should be called back up in place of Guzman who should be starting at AAA to atleast amass some trade value. Because he [Guzman] doesn't have a future as a closer on this year's team, and we're not going to groom him to close for next year.. that's for sure. This team is just the biggest waste in the majors next to the Yankees so far... we have some nice pieces, but nothing seems to be clicking. I don't want to blame Lou, because I think he's doing an adequate job, but somethings just wrong. Then again, we are the Cubs.
