Phil Hellmuth now holds the record he's coveted for years.
The "Poker Brat" won his 11th career bracelet at the World Series of Poker Monday night, taking down event No. 15, a $1,500 no-limit hold 'em event. He outlasted a field of 2,628 to take down the $637,254 first place prize.
He now leads poker legends Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson by one, and needs just one more final table appearance to tie T.J. Cloutier's record of 39.
Hellmuth already has a stranglehold on the record for most cashes at the WSOP with 59, five ahead of the next closest player.
Hellmuth is also the youngest main event winner ever, doing it in 1989 at the age of 24.

The funny thing is that when I saw this post, I thought "Please don't be Phil Hellmuth."

Yeah, I heard about this when I logged onto Ultimate Bet. Phil Hellmuth is by FAR the greatest No Limit Texas Hold 'Em player of all-time. Congrats to him. Tournament is debateable. Cash...forget it. Hellmuth is a horrid cash player. He cant control himself and cant take the swings of a cash game. Watch Highstakes and watch him donk money left and right.
