with everything being pushed back and being barely over a month out with not even a hint that something would be happening at sdcc, Im wondering if they'll even do one this year. When's the last time there wasn't one?

Seems odd to me to wait this long to announce what it is.

We didn’t know about last year’s exclusive until a week before SDCC. There wasn’t one from 2011-2015. There’s only been 3 Mattel exclusives, Undertaker 2010, Shockmaster 2016, Charlotte/Sasha dolls 2017 (Yankem was a TRU exclusive and not really an exclusive to the event).

It has to be another obscure figure like Shockmaster.
Maybe The Yeti?

a week before? that's insane to me. I didnt pay attention to it last year. wasn't really buying a lot from them at that point. Wouldn't have done me any good. anything pre-attitude era isnt for me. I would just assume they'd want to build some kind of hype for it - whatever it is.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Shark and/or Rooster end up just being their SDCC exclusives

I wouldn’t be surprised if Shark and/or Rooster end up just being their SDCC exclusives that would be awesome, and hopefully keep them off of store shelves.

If I’m not mistaken TRU had Shockmaster and Yankem. Obviously that doesn’t help for the future. Perhaps RSC would get some. As we know they’re getting the new Amazon exclusives.

I never saw the Shockmaster figure anywhere. Shockmaster was on Matty Collector for the longest time. I think it was $16 with free shipping on that year’s Black Friday. If I’m not mistaken TRU had Shockmaster and Yankem. Obviously that doesn’t help for the future. Perhaps RSC would get some. As we know they’re getting the new Amazon exclusives. Yankem was TRU. Was available at SDCC and online at toysrus.com and then at TRU stores a week or two later. Shockmaster was Mattel’s exclusive. Extras were sold on Matty Collector a couple weeks after SDCC.

I think there was a Rey Mysterio Rumbler the year they released the Rumblers.

I guess technically they were exclusives but I categorize them as booth giveaways and not actual exclusives sold at SDCC.
