Draft so far looks like 1. Blazers - Oden 2. Sonics - Durant 3. Hawks - Horford 4. Grizzlies - Noah 5. Celtics - Yi 6. Bucks - Wright 7. TWolves - Conley Should be fun to see what all goes down. Not a chance that Noah gets taken fourth overall; 3rd and 4th overall belong to Horford and Conley. Noah most likely is headed to Charlotte at #8, with Hawes, Green or Yi (if he's still on the board) going to Minnesota at 7.

I have heard that the Grizzles love Noah, so its not out of the question.

Maybe not, but really, other than his energy and rebounding skills, what is there to love? Noah will likely be the Adam Morrison of 2007's Draft class, unfortunately. Which, in some people's opinions, would make sense for Charlotte to overvalue him and screw themselves over with another lottery pick letdown. If MJ has any sense at all, he'll take Corey Brewer at number 8, if Boston and Minnesota don't do that before him.

Essentially Bostons picks will be Horford/Brewer/Yi, maybe even Conley if they are stupid/smart enough to deal him to Portland or Minnesota or something.

It wouldnt be wise to be for Memphis to pick Noah. Noah is not a true center and they already have Warrick, Gasol, and Swift. Some people say Memphis is going to take Brandan Wright, which again do to their stacked foward position wouldnt be smart, they really need a gaurd, but I guess they could draft a person like Wright or Noah in hopes that someone trades something for them.

The only positive thing about the KG non deal is that theres little chance of him going to the Suns, so maybe he wants out of Minny so bad, PP or someone convinces him Boston isnt so bad.

Chad Ford of ESPN.com's update on the Garnett/Celtics situation:
Some good news/bad news for Celtics fans.
The rumblings this afternoon are that Kevin Garnett might back off his "no trade to Boston" demand if the Timberwolves can't work out a deal with the Suns.
The bad news ... if he doesn't, the clock is ticking on the Paul Pierce time bomb. His agent, Jeff Schwartz, told me that Pierce would love to play with KG and is still hoping that the Celtics find a way to bring in a star. However, if he can't, Schwartz said he thinks Paul will ask for a trade from Danny Ainge, the Celtics executive director of basketball operations.
"Danny's got to make a decision," Schwartz said. "It just won't make sense to keep Paul if the Celtics can't compete for a championship. They should trade him and get young players that can help them rebuild."
If KG says no and Shawn Marion says no -- who else is out there? The Celtics could revist a Pau Gasol trade. An offer of the No. 5 pick, Delonte West and the expiring contract of Theo Ratliff may be enough to get it done. That way the Celtics keep Al Jefferson and don't give up much of their core.
The Grizzlies might just bite at that. They are having trouble deciding between Joakim Noah and Mike Conley at No. 4. This way they could have both. However, we're hearing that the Grizz are also taking to the Hawks about a deal that would send Gasol to Atlanta for the No. 3 pick. That deal would something like this: Josh Childress, Lorenzen Wright, Anthony Johnson and the No. 3 pick for Gasol.

I wouldn't mind that GAOL trade.

I think the #3 pick would be too much, I kinda like the Gasol deal for Boston

Of course,
any way Boston can keep Al Jeff and bring in a potential All-Star for their team would be the ideal situation Ainge is looking for. I'm a little curious as to why Gasol is being mentioned all of a sudden after it appeared he was happy to stay in Memphis and the organization planned on keeping him there. Boston would really be making out with the proposed trade, as would Atlanta if theirs went down, but I really doubt either will bring in Gasol.
The 2007 NBA Draft couldn't come soon enough, as I'm just ready for all this speculation to be over with and see which teams are going to step up and take a chance or settle for mediocrity for yet another season. Hopefully, for fans of Atlanta, Boston and franchises of the like, SOMETHING will happen, as really, what much is there to lose?

Paul Pierce is a hell of a player. He's been crapon too long in Boston.

hawks needed a makeover BADLY...sad to see them remove the yellow/gold from the color scheme, though. i was hpoing they'd revert to a more throwback look with modern alternations, a la the pistons and sonics.

Those uniforms are a slight improvement. I don't know how I feel about all that blue. The yellow was terrible. I really, really wish they went back to these uniforms. The new ones just look too similar to everyone else's. I miss when teams stood out.

Love those uniforms; kinda sad they left the traditional red and yellow,
but maybe a sign of other changes to come.

Some more rumors floating around:
-Teams are trying to pry Camby and Nene from Denver's hands, including Atlanta (for you TRW), for either Zaza Pachulia and change or Marvin Williams, in place of Pachulia.
-KG is still being shopped HEAVILY by Minnesota, and word is that Boston has no chance of bringing him in now. However, Boston seems interested in AK47 now, as he wouldn't mind playing in Boston. A proposed trade might look something like this: G. Green, D. West, the 5th Pick and T. Ratliff for A. Kirilenko and Utah's 25th pick.
-Nets are about 98% guaranteed to be signing Vince Carter to a contract extension before next Saturday, the last day Carter can opt out of his current deal. So, therefore, the other 2% has led to speculation that once Carter signs an extension, NJ could send him off in a sign-and-trade to Portland for Zach Randolph.
-Bonzi Wells has decided he would like to stay in Houston next season, instead of testing the FA waters again.
-Cleveland believes they may be able to replace Pavlovic and keep Varejao with how tight their spending is this summer; they may have interest in Denver's Steve Blake to fill Sasha's spot.

The Kevin Garnett bullcrapchanges daily, if he wants out of Minnesota, his best bet is the Celtics. The Suns are not trading for him, the Bulls could offer a lot too but I think Jefferson/#5 pick and cap relief beat what any other team is offering.
If KG wants out, its probably Boston or nothing. Let him rot in 10th place in the West for the next two years for all I care.
