Just a question, any idea what happen to the Jakks TNA protos that were never released? Specifically the Shannon Moore and Jesse Neal 2 pack?

Probably in the display of someone who paid a Jakks employee...

I’d love to own that Tara proto. That was literally a work of art. It’s such a shame they didn’t even try to produce her. I’d rather have gotten that Tara over the multiple Velvet and Angelina figures.
Jesse Neal and Shannon were masterpieces too. The line had its ups with MCMG, Gail Kim, Tessmacher and Crimson. But dang those protos were dope.

The ToyBiz Sting and Kurt Angle that never came out could have been two of the best figures ever, but we'll never get them, unfortunately. The Bully Ray also looked good, except the rubber shirt would have killed the articulation. All in all, I think ToyBiz made some of the best figures. The scans, the unique body parts...it wasn't like what we saw with Jakks or what we're seeing with Mattel where everybody gets the same handful of body parts with a new head. But as far as Jakks goes, yeah, the Tara figure would be my Jakks holy grail at this point. The scan is otherworldly. But it is a proto and sometimes they look really good hand painted, and then when it's mass produced by a machine it doesn't look as crisp...but again, we'll never know. I guess I'll have to just live with this figure:

There were a lot of people who got scrapped at the end. I spoke to Traci Brooks at a convention about her marvel figure, and she said she got screwed out of a figure twice. She said Jakks were making a figure of her in her ref gear and then one day they were just done making TNA figures. She only ever saw the head, it was never a fully completed figure.

Traci is one I’d love to have had from anyone. I have a feeling there were a lot of planned TNA figures that we will see one day. God it was just tragic how they slowly stopped making them. Those last few series of repainted figs were just terrible

Josh Matthews said he's getting a figure soon (in a press conference last year) so hopefully they release some of the old stuff

Toy Biz body parts weren’t unique. They used parts from their ML line for their WCW and TNA lines. WCW Sting (surfer) and TNA AJ both shared the same torso as the Marvel Legends Cyclops. And sometimes parts didn’t fit right like that Sting above. The shoulders are to far out of the torso and looks bad. But I will say that was the best Angle ever shown by any company. I was very upset when it was cancelled.

I never really liked the Toybiz figures. The articulation made the bodies look weird. And I hate finger articulation lol. But those were some pretty neat figures!

Those Toybiz figures remind me why I dislike double jointed elbows. Terrible looking figures in general.

I hope one day Mattel can get a license to release that Sting attire. It's always been my 2nd favourite attire of his (After signature TNA/WWE look) and have always wanted a figure of it. That Angle also look great, love how they even got his thick neck right. Shame it never got released.

That Angle figure would definitely be the best figure of him that any company has made.

I would pay a hefty amount for the TNA Legends Andre The Giant figure that never came out.
