While I would hate the disruption as I hope that somehow AJ is the one who breaks CM Punk's record for the longest reign as WWE Champion in hte modern era, I'd be for a one night title change. Have Nakamura win it night 1. Have AJ win itback night 2. There's been worse ideas. At least then Nakamura can add the WWE championship to his resume, and it doesn't disrupt the storylines.

I wonder how long they signed KENTA for? He's clearly been a failure for WWE and it seems like this is a way to get something out of the deal. But good for NOAH.

This is kinda crazy. I love how Triple H is willing to work with other promotions.
Itami seems to finally be getting some momentum going for him on 205 Live. Hopefully with this deal, WWE will let him start using the GTS again, because much like Rollins and the Stomp, Itami seems lost without his finisher.

..... has that have to do with Hideo in NOAH? The very last sentence of the post. Unwritten rule is If you didn’t want to talk about it don’t include it in the post. So kindly simmer down "At least then Nakamura can add the WWE championship to his resume, and it doesn't disrupt the storylines." ... seriously, what the does that to do with Hideo going to NOAH?

My comment has nothing to do with Hideo but I just had to log in and simply say “thank you” for making me laugh. A simple thumbs up wouldn’t have done justice.

I am happy that WWE is still interested in pushing him. Kenta deserves it, as he is one of the best wrestlers on the planet!

This is kinda crazy. I love how Triple H is willing to work with other promotions. I really wish we could have seen the conversation between him an Vince.

Jericho’s gone on record to say that Vince gave him his blessing to work for NJPW and wished him all the best and with everything HHH has done with NXT, Performance Center, CWC, MYC, NXTUK and talent scouting etc as a whole it’s clear that this decision would somewhat benefit WWE in some way. I just hope these NOAH appearances reignite Itami’s passion for performing again because he’s been a bit of a dud since his injury a few years ago. Mind you, I haven’t watched 205 Live for a few weeks so I could be wrong.

Brock already did Brock broke the longest reign overall in modern era which belonged to Punk. But as to titles, CM Punk's reign is still the longest WWE Champion. Part of me believes that despite the Women's Revolution, it was still called the Diva's Title so that AJ Lee's reign as longest Diva's Champion could be scrubbed. Had Nikki broke the streak as Women's Champion, the record books would list Nikki Bella as longest reigning Women's Champion, but AJ Leeas the Longest Reigning Diva's Champion. As it stands: Brock is the longest reigning Universal Champion and Champion overall. CM Punk is the longest reigning WWE Champion.

Ugh. THE VERY LAST SENTENCE OF THE Topic Creator's Post. "WWE will run two shows from Tokyo on June 29th and 30th next week. Shinsuke Nakamura will challenge for the WWE Championship each night." Didn't realize I had to be ridiculously specific for you. Unless you think all Asians are the same, Shinsuke Nakamura is mentioned in the report. Blame the topic creator for adding it to the discussion.

Mind you, I haven’t watched 205 Live for a few weeks so I could be wrong. He's been looking pretty better the last several weeks & this weeks triple threat was particularly good. But since Itami hurt Kendrick with the GTS, he's yet to use it. And his new finisher is... kinda clunky. I think WWE would be wise to build Itami's GTS as this move everyone is scared of. It'd give him a bit of a edge.

I guess this is a really cool deal but I still feel bad for Itami. Guy goes down with an injury after finally getting comfortable in NXT and he's never recovered from it. Maybe this leads him to the CW Title and he can get some of his mojo back that way. Late 2000s KENTA was legit one of the best in-ring performers in the world.

This is really interesting. Still feel bad for Itami, but at least he's going to get some additional opportunities.

So it's just for one show in August. Either way, I guess it's nice to see WWE not acting like wrestling doesn't exist outside of their "universe".
