15th in average, 2nd in OBP, 3rd in Slugging, 3rd in OPS, 16th in HR and 14th in RBI, 3rd in BB

how the does he deserve it? he's a DH. He's played what. like 50 innings at first this year? look at his numbers? yeah, his numbers as a DH, not a ing first baseman. It's pathetic. I don't see how he can be considered a first baseman in allstar voting when there are others that deserve it. hell, i'd rather see youkalis at first than david ortiz.

Then you have a problem with how Baseball has been run since the 70's, dont blame it strictly on Ortiz.

Carlos Lee is the best choice, Biggio screwed himself by going 0-4 every other game...

i'm not blaming it on ortiz. the fact that there are so many other first baseman out there who deserve to have a chance to play in the midsummer classic, and they all get ed over by a popularity contest in which a guy who plays like 7 games at first a year get selected to play first base. i mean, i know its all for fun and everything, but it's dumb, in my opinion.

I'm guessing the players voted in Fuentes, because that's probably the worst selection on the whole team. Dan Uggla should be going as a reserve 2B but Sanchez got on because the Pirates needed a player. Should have been Ian Snell and Uggla instead of Fuentes and Sanchez

I agree with Krush and Youk should be in instead of Manny or Sheffield, Manny is a joke.

Oswalt would be in if it wasn't for lack of runs every game he pitches
