well I barely buy any now, 6-8 years ago, I was buying loose full sets on E-bay for around £250.00
bought one loose full set which included Dusty and dusty Yellow boots and Bret Purple and pink heart for around £250 or less back then.
prices now are crazy, especially moc and loose Green card, they seem to be rising more than any other series.
Think prices will rise as more and more of these Wrestlers die from the Hasbro series. (sadly)

Nope. At the minute there’s a few selling a few pieces and yes at the min it’s a touch lower but in 12 months the figures will be higher again. In 10 years time maybe but nowhere near peaked

I think it's very hard to say at this point.
I guess it could depend on the future of the retro line. If it ends without Mattel giving the Hasbro fans much of what they really hoped for, it could kill the prices when tons of people jumped back on them hoping to build the ultimate collection of old and new figures hopeing to fill in the gaps and expand the original line, decide to dump collections when intrest is lost.

Yeah I agree I think it depends on what happens to the Retro line.

In 10 years time maybe but nowhere near peaked You often see the effect we have at the moment where you have a figure (or two) sell for big money but then everyone decides to list the same figure for a taste of the action. Prime example at the moment - Green Card Crush. The price now appears to be dropping because of the abundance of them on sale but once buyers put them away in their collections, the price will go up and up.

Nope. Wait until Netflix puts up an episode of the Toys That Made Us with the WWF Hasbro line, which I have to assume is going to happen eventually. It spiked vintage Star Wars figures like a new movie came out. The Mattel Retros have a limited audience based on current collectors but that Netflix show has a much wider reach and is going to hit grown men with money right in the nostalgia regions. I think it will fall back down to Earth after that wave, but that show can invoke interest from adults who aren't collecting anything right now based purely on nostalgia.

I would love to see an episode on Hasbros, but it looks like there's only 8 episodes been made, and no mention of further episodes planned. IF they would do a show on fake sports, I can't see them focusing too much on one line anyway.
Haven't watched any of the show yet since none of them were anything I was into, but I just looked it up on Wikipedia to see the episode list and saw the Lego one is out, so I'll have to check that one out!
Would love to see WWF Hasbro of course though! Also bring on Real Ghostbusters.

I dont really see price difference in Hasbros honestly, at least loose. Sure some of your rarer figures like the 123 Kid and Evil Crush & Smoking Gunns are pricey but I can still usually find the pieces i need to fill in for fairly reasonable. I bought a near mint Macho King for $10 a couple weeks ago.

They're announcing the subjects of their next four episodes at SDCC.

I'd imagine Hotwheels or Matchbox cars would be a good fit and Lionel trains. Wonder what else would logically fit. I also did just watch the lego episode. Good, but seemed like sort of a rehash of a lego documentary that I saw on Netflix a while back. Was hopeing for more detail about sets rather than general overview of company history.

MASK, Thundercats, Ghostbusters, COPs, plenty of options. He-Man is their best episode so far imo. The Star Wars one was kind of similar to the Lego episode in that if you're a fan of the line, there is probably quite a bit you already knew. I'm sure a WWF Hasbro episode from them would great. I'm sure Zack Ryder and Zombie Sailor would both find their way into that episode.

I’m sure xpac said on Twitter he was interviewed for an episode so you’d assume some sort of wrestling ep is coming.

I think prices will always go up, just on certain figures. There is and will always be those guys who can get open for around $20 and under.

I have a feeling it will crash in the near future.
My main reasoning is, most of the green cards not all but most, are and were purchased by people looking to make it a investment and to drive prices up. Collectors new and old get bored and also go broke and need the money, they will turn around and sell off a collection or figures just enough to add up what they need for there troubles. Right now the market is controlled by people who bought up most of the figures left, and eventually if no one pays those prices you wI'll eventually see those figures readily available at a fair price, or they will continue to buy them and hoard them.
Anyone today with money could sit, watch ebay and other sites and as soon as a nails figure mic or loose becomes available you purchase then all. Then sit on it for years and very rarely will you see any online, until that seller decides to sell when the market is high.
My advice to new collectors. Buy all the Retros and just be happy paying 4$ to 12$ and hope they release the figures you want.

The Toys That Made Us will have a panel on the Thursday at SDCC, where they’ll announce the next season, so we’ll know then at least. If X-PAC has been interviewed then that suggests the Hasbros at least will get some attention, unless Waltman had another noteworthy figure release other than the 1-2-3 Kid?

If Hasbro doesn’t have a Toys That Made Us episode, hopefully it will in season 4. Season 2 was a HUGE letdown imo. I didn’t like the Hello Kitty or Lego episodes whatsoever. To me, I think Hasbros still have a little ways to go before they peak. LJNs have for sure. I think once the Retros put out a few more high demand figures, then the Hasbros will peak. Right now the 90s toys are just hitting that iconic status (ahhhh why?!?!) as much as I hate to say it...the 90s are finally at classic stage 😭 I guess I’m vintage then

God I hope they've peaked.
2 years ago I could have got £123 kid loose for £75. Now he goes for more than double that, I've actually seen him go for treble,
It's frustrating when you only need 3 figures to complete your collection, but those 3 figures will now set you back around £600 loose. Crazy considering the prices didn't rise much for years. I remember thinking £75 was too much for the Kid, now I'd bite your arm off for one at that price.

Times like this I love sharing that back in my collecting heyday (late 90s to 00s) you could find loose/mint green card figures for $20-30USD all day long. And mail aways MIB for about $50, though they weren't nearly as plentiful.

Ware as the rarest/most expensive figures. Andre doesn't seem to be anywhere near as rare as he was made out to be.
