I dont understand how Brandon Phillips, a brother from North Carolina can be depicted as a proper old Englishman, then again, why does the owl act like that too/

I honestly dont think Rich Hill deserves to have a rating of anything higher than a C - he honestly has fallen apart Then you haven't watched enough or didn't watch at all during the start of the year. I don't care if he's had a string of 3 or 4 bad starts, you don't write a guy off for that. While he's teeing up more long balls, his strike out to walk ratio is still phenomenal, and his WHIP is going to remain low. If he can cut back on the long balls in the second half, his ERA is going to dip again. He'll be fine. It's not the same Rich Hill of 2 years ago, so I don't see where you can say he's "fallen apart".

It could've been worse with all the injuries, but guys like Carlos Gomez, Ruben Gotay, and Jorge Sosa have picked up the team. So far, so good. Ricky Ledee, a B+ A butcher in the field, can't run the bases and had 1 game in which he looked as if he belonged. He was DFA for a reason. ...he's terrible. LMILLZ TO THE RESCUE

I think Walt Jocketty/Cardinals organization needs to get a Y for ruining Anthony Reyes's career I'm pretty sure nobody in the Cards organization told Reyes to float belt-high 80 mph changeups right down the middle of the plate every other pitch.

Houston Astros - DOverall Record: 39-50 Standings: 5th Place Manager: Phil Garner - F Pitching Coach: Dave Wallace- C Team MVP: Hunter Pence Worst Player: Morgan Ensberg Best Pitcher: Roy Oswalt Worst Pitcher: Too Many Position PlayersC Brad Ausmus - D C humberto Quintero - F 1B Lance Berkman - C 2B Craig Biggio - C 2B Chris Burke - C SS Mark Loretta - B+ SS Adam Everett - D 3B Morgan Ensberg - F 3B Mike Lamb - C LF Carlos Lee - B+ CF Hunter Pence - A RF Orlando Palmeiro - D Starting PitchingRHP Roy Oswalt - B+ RHP Jason Jennings - C+ LHP Woody Williams - D+ RHP Wandy Rodriguez - C+ RHP Chris Sampson - C+ Bullpen/ Relief PitchingRHP Brian Moehler - D RHP Chad Qualls - D RHP Dan Wheeler- D LHP Trevor Miller - F LHP Mark McLemore - Inconclusive LHP Matt Albers - C- RHP Dave Borkowski - F RHP Brad Lidge - C - Overall Final Thoughts: This Team has been horrible, When the Pitchers pitch great either the bullpen blows it or nobody Hits. When the hitters hit alot, The Pitchers give up more runs. The Bullpen is Atrocious and the reason why our Starts are missing 3-4 wins each. Lance Berkman is starting to heat up, too bad its the Second Half Already and Morgan Ensberg needs to be traded as he is a HUGE disappointment. Carlos Lee and Hunter Pence seem to be the only consistent ones out of the whole line up. Phil Garner can jump in a pool of lava because he is ing terrible at managing the BullPen and In-game Situations. We haven't lost a Series since this Home Stand, hopefully a Decent trade and some consistent Baseball will give us some hope of making it a Race once again during the last few weeks...

Baltimore Orioles pitching: C+ Hitting: D- Fielding: B
Totally unexpected that pitching would be ousting the bats for the 'Birds.
I was extremely hyped for the O's, this year, after they started 14-6 in their first 20 . . . I don't think I'll ever see them in a series.

Philadelphia Phillies - C+ Overall Record: 44-44 Standings: 3rd in NL East, 4.5 gb Manager: Charlie Manuel- D Team MVP:Chase Utley Worst Player: Wes Helms Best Pitcher: Cole Hamels Worst Pitcher: Freddy Garcia
Position Players C Rod Barajas- D C Carlos Ruiz- C 1B Ryan Howard- A- 2B Chase Utley- A+ SS Jimmy Rollins- A 3B Wes Helms- F 3B Greg Dobbs- C+ 3B Abraham Nunez- D- LF Pat Burrell- C+ LF Micheal Bourn- C LF Jayson Werth- C- CF Aaron Rowand- B+ RF Shane Victorino- A
Starting Pitching RHP Adam Eaton - B LHP Cole Hamels - A+ LHP Jamie Moyer - C RHP Kyle Kendrick - B+ RHP John Lieber - D- RHP Freddy Garcia - F-
Bullpen/ Relief Pitching RHP Antonio Alfonseca - D LHP Mike Zagurski - C+ RHP Jose Mesa - F RHP Brian Sanches - C+ RHP Ryan Madson - C RHP Geoff Geary - C
Overall Final Thoughts: This team could be much better at this point. Injuries, stupid decisions by our manager and a bad bullpen is plaguing this team. Our starting pitching has been decent but very very inconsistent except for Hamels who is having so far the best season he has had ever. Our offense is once again the best run producers in the league. Howard, Utley,Rowand,Victorino and Rollins all have 10 or more home runs and more than 40 rbi's except for Shane who has 37. The teams biggest needs are pitching, a 3rd basemen and a catcher who isn't a waste of money like Barajas. This team could be at best in 1st place and be more than just a .500 team.

Overall I dont think the Yankees have done THAT bad. Lets look at it from a objective point of view. You're playing in the same division with the "best team in baseball" You've not had 5 complete starters all year long (little less the past 3 years). Your hitting is up and down and inconsistant.
Now look at it from a traditional Yankees standpoint. Boston is starting to slide. Starting Pitching wise the only thing they are gonna have is Beckett and Dice-K. Wakefield isnt gonna cut it and Schilling is on the way out. Add on that Big Papi could be facing a DL stint that means more walks for Manny which means less HRs and RBIs. 15days without Schilling, Papi could mean a 4-6 game swing in standings. Yankees really have everything set right now. The Pitching staff is old yes but it is expierenced. Knocking out Igawa and putting Hughes in there later on will make it stronger. 1 or 2 trades to help the Bullpen and get god for saking Abreu out of the Brox and the Yankees are right back in the chase. If this was any 2 teams but Yankees and Red Sox then i would say yes they are out of it. But its not its the Yanks and Sox and its not gonna be over until the last weekend in September.......Are the Yankees a playoff team?? Yes! Are they a world series contender?? Yes! Will they make it to the World Series?? No!

No where did Ortiz say hes going to the DL and the Red Sox lost to the Tigers, its not like they got swept by the D-Rays.
The key for the Yankees not winning the division is that they dont play the Red Sox til August, it is going to take a massive hot streak and or losing streak for them to catch us. At least until they play each other again

yankees fans are funny. just ing pack it in already. god damn. Just like Boston packed it in during the 2004 ALCS? Or just like the Yankees did last year when they were 11 games out?? Or like Joe Montana did when he was 90+ yards away from winning a super Bowl with "not enough" time remaining??? Quitters never win and winners never quit. Theres still aprox 80+ games to be played. Boston goes 40-40 and NY goes 50-30 then guess what?? Thats right NY is right back in it. NY has the best winning pct of the 2nd half of the season. Now i never said Ortiz was going to the DL i just said he MIGHT. We dont know. Either way Big Papi isnt Big Papi. The season isnt over and neither are the Yankees
