I know we have several Canadian UFC fans around here looking forward to the much talked about Canadian UFC event, but it looks like once again Canada gets shafted.
From MMAweekly.com: Canadian fans of the Ultimate Fighting Championship have eagerly awaited the mixed martial arts promotion taking it's show north of the border every since the UFC announced plans to hold an event there last year.
The Canadian MMA scene is filled with enthusiastic fans, and has groomed such fighters as Georges St.Pierre, David Loiseau, Patrick Cote, Mark Hominick, and Chris Horodecki, just to name a few.
Canada will not be hosting a UFC event in 2007 due to complications in securing a venue. UFC president Dana White commented at the UFC 73 post-fight press conference, "You guys have too much friggen hockey up there. As soon as you can cancel some hockey games we'll be up there. That's where I wanted to go."
Canadian fans will have to wait until 2008 to host a UFC pay-per-view. When in 2008 remains up in the air. "We're still working on it. We're still working on a date up there," Dana White told the media on Saturday night.

PPV's are on a Saturday night...which is also, Hockey night in Canada. So it's going to be really hard to find somewhere...why not the summer months?
I'd really love to go. Whether or not I'd be able to, I'm not sure if I could fit it in. Regardless, it would be an amazing experience.
